Thracian Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 King captains the reserves to a memorable win, creates countless chances from midfield and finds the energy to score the deciding goal minutes from the end of extra time with his own players and the opposition almost out on their legs and you give him an average 7 mark. Don't spoil him will you!

Thracian Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 7 is 'good', not average. Haha - I wouldn't want you marking his bad games!

Kitchandro Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Kante is the best tackler I have ever seen.
Bamba's Babes Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 10 - 9 - 8 - Fuchs, Kante 7 - Ulloa, King, Was, Benalouane, Alrighton 6 - Referee, Simpson, Kramaric, Mahrez, Inler, Schlupp 5 - WHU, Dodoo 4 - 3 - Schwarzer 2 - 1 -
goose2010 Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Bit harsh on the Schwarzer did nothing wrong maybe could of done better on the goal but was a solid 7.
kingfox Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Schwarzer(6) - Just had to make routine saves, nothing that troubled him. Simpson(5) - Thought he was poor, too rash for my liking, surprised he didn't get sent off. Benalouane(8) - Very impressed, read the game well, comfortable on the ball. Wasilewski(7) - Typical Wasyl, fairly solid his tackling in particular his main highlight. Fuchs(8) - Solid defensively, very good going forward, deliveries were top notch, MOTM! Albrighton(7) - Started well but became quiet as the game went on. King(8) - Got better & better as the game went on, looked good with Kante, terrific directed header for the goal. Inler(5) - Very frustrating, does some very good things then some very bad things. Dodoo(6) - Good finish but after that had hardly any impact. Ulloa(8) - Deserves praise tonight, gave 100% and worked his socks off. Kramaric(4) - Not ready, might never be ready. Schlupp(5) - Atrocious in the final third, don't shoot Jeff. Kante(8) - Class act again, controlled the midfield when he came on, a joy to watch. Mahrez(6) - Few good moments, should of scored.
Bert Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Schwarzer 6 - certain their goal took a deflection. Otherwise didn't have a great deal to do but dealt with corners well. Simpson 7 - defends so much better than De Laet. Fairly solid theoughout although arguably should've been sent off and could've conceded a pen. Fuchs 8 - Quality. All round great performance, great delivery and you can tell he's a seasoned pro. Benalouane 8 - solid as a rock and can pick a pass. Doesn't mind getting physical either. Wasilewski 7 - Why he's not near the first team baffles me. Standard Wasyl tonight. Albrighton 6 - Usual endeavour but that's about it. Dodoo 6 - Scored with a lovely finish but failed to do much else. King 8 - Lead by example and as usual popped up with s crucial winner. Inler 7 - what was vital tonight was the minutes for him. Grew into the game and had a decent enough game. Kramaric 6 - wasted a golden opportunity to score by being clever after doing all the hard work. Seems short on confidence. Ulloa 7 - lead the line well although looks a bit shirt of Match practice.
funkyrobot Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 I thought Ulloa was a man mountain up front today, won most of the aerial balls, ran his socks off and held the ball up well. Shame he didn't get on the scoresheet. Fuchs had a difficult 1st half with Moses but in the 2nd half he was a class act. Kante still stands out as the best of the new boys at the mo though. His tackling is top class and he's no mug on the ball. King anonymous in the 1st half, got better and better as the game went on and as he was pushed further up. Still not sure about Schwarzer....
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Schwarzer 7 - Couldn't do anything about deflection. Punched well and kicked well, more than adequate back up. Simpson 7 - Best game in a city shirt, helped that Dodoo did some defensive work leaving him less exposed than RDL is with Riyad. Atleast 1 stone wall pen. Benny 8 - Scrapped with Carroll well and good on the deck. Panic moment when he ran under the ball in the last minute. Wasyl 7 - Solid Wasyl performance. Wish he wouldn't chip so many balls forward to the strikers head. Fuchs 8 - 1st half tried to isolate him with Moses, who only went by once. Looked very accomplished and great set piece delivery. Dodoo 7 - Still raw but full of confidence. Took the goal well. Inler 6 - Best performance yet. Misplaced a few but tackled well and drove the team forward. Would be a 7 if he hadn't wasted lots of shooting chances. King 9 - Wasn't involved much 1st half, but playing in an advanced role he was awesome. Took the goal so well and generally played unbelievably. Albrighton 7 - Standard Albrighton performance, some very good deliveries and so much hard work. Ulloa 8 - Fat bloke next to me was slating him all night, but I thought he held the ball up fantastically. Should have scored mind. Kramaric 6 - Some flashes but game largely passed him by. Falling down the pecking order again. Needs confidence big time. Schlupp 5 - Typical Jeff, some great play but some awful finishing. Kante 8 - Everywhere, this bloke is great. Mahrez 6 - Some clever touches, missed a sitter. West Ham 4 - 1st team got outplayed by our reserves, fans were good. Ref 6 - Missed there pen, a little card happy but good. Claudio 9 - 10 changes but nothing changed in attitude. Loved him getting the crowd going and giving Riyad a bollocking for not warming up properly.

Lichfieldfox. Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Spot on! Pretty much agree with your ratings and most comments.King MOM, Simpson was lucky to stay on pitch, I prefer de Laet any day.Kram worries me as looked quality last year and so I think it's confidence. Benny much better central defence (seemed a liability earlier in season at right back).Dodoo good finish, can't tackle for toffee. Kante a real find as is Fuchs, both candidates to start vs Arsenal
BoyJones Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Bit harsh on the Schwarzer did nothing wrong maybe could of done better on the goal but was a solid 7. Definitely a 7, right behind the shot, horrible deflection. No chance, bit unfortunate for the back five who probably deserved a pizza.
Alf Bentley Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Schwarzer(6) - Just had to make routine saves, nothing that troubled him. Agree with almost every word and mark of that, though I'd grudgingly mark Simpson a bit higher. Don't like the bloke and don't rate him higher than a journeyman, but that was one of his better games. The excellent news is this suggests good strength in depth and competition within the squad: Ulloa, Kante, King, Fuchs, Benalouane & Wasilewski all looked good 1st team options on that showing (not that I'm suggesting they should all be brought straight in, of course).
urban.spaceman Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Schwarzer 6 - dealt well with quite a lot, couldn't do much about their goal. Simpson 7 - looked very solid at the back, positive influence going forward. Ben 9 - very strong, not much got past him, always seemed to come out with the ball Was 8 - I love this guy Fuchs 8 - had a fair bit to deal with on the flank and he dealt with it well, looked great going forward - great cross for King's goal Albrighton 7 - had a quiet game for me King 9 - great header, lead by example, looked absolutely knackered towards the end Inler 6 - still adapting, had some quality moments but wasted a few chances where he shot well over from 25 yards. 120 mins very useful for him though Dodoo 6 - good finish, but didn't have much impact after that. Great prospect for the future though. Kram 6 - a few exciting moments, but was too selfish and wasted a lot. Would've thought he'd be desperate to get in the first XI so am disappointed that he wasn't better. Ulloa 8 - worked very hard, was outstanding in the air - almost every time it was a great flick for Kram or someone else or well directed out of trouble. Personally been a bit cynical towards him lately but he gave everything and contributed a lot. Mahrez 7 - magic. Mostly. No idea how he didn't score in the 1st of of ET. Kante 8 - one of the best tacklers I've ever seen! He's fast too, held the ball up well and seems very enthusiastic with everything he does. Schlupp 8 - I love this guy.. Team performance - 8 Very pleased overall. Thrilled to see how much the club has progressed in the past 6 months since I saw us last. Claudio has a hell of a lot of quality to choose from - personally prefer 3-5-2 so if either Benny or Fuchs could fit into a back 3 I'd be very happy.
Steve Earle Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Schwarzer 6 - ok Simpson 6 - could have given away two pens, and been red-carded, but despite that showed he's a better defender than RDL (tho' he offers zero coming forward) Was 6 - did fine, the booking inevitable Benalouane 7 - impressive, mobile, pacy, strong and played a couple of terrific long diagonals Fuchs 8 - had a torrid first 30 minutes against Moses, but from about then on was as good as anyone on the pitch; class defending, great delivery Dodoo 6 - started brightly, took his goal with great composure, faded badly Inler 7 - grew through the match, brought 'game management' and some great covering (and some wayward shooting) King 7 - shame that his 120 minutes probably rules him out for Saturday, unless we change formation; gave everything Albrighton 8 - what a player! Has kicked on from his impressive end to last season. Looked a free transfer on arrival, now looks a £10M player! Kramaric 5 - oh dear, was that his Kermorgant moment? Overplays time and again. Am worried about him now. Ulloa 7 - also grew as the game progressed after a very sluggish start, some great hold up play Schlupp 4 - just awful, and looked more tired than most in extra time. Wonder why? Mahrez 6 - gets an extra mark for scaring the willies out of them, product poor on the night Kante 8 - simply brilliant, changed the balance of play and turned the game in our favour. Kante and ten others on Saturday please!

An 8 for Schlupp? All he did all night was waste great chances created by other players. He was utterly dire. The people rating him anything above a 4 are being generous. And Albrighton had a quiet game? So much of our best attacking play was going through him, particularly in the 2nd half before he got taken off he looked a class above any other player on the pitch and was creating chance after chance.

Juvenile Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Schwarzer 6 - not much to do, distribution could have been better Simpson 7. - dived in too much, still rather have de Laet, just... Ben 8. - very impressed with him today, good with the ball and great passing Was 6. - put himself on the line when needed, unlucky with deflection Fuchs 8 - played well against a quick Moses, throws offer something different, however we didn't really attack them as well as we could of. Albrighton 7 lively King 7 played well, better the further up the pitch he goes Inler 7 getting there... Think he needs a goal to settle his nerves, hence the endless misses. Dodoo 6 scored... And that's about it. Kram 5 - dicked around with his one on one, probably would have got more if he buried that one. Ulloa 7- did well with hold ups, very different to watching Vardy for obvious reasons.. Still wouldn't start him on sat Mahrez 6 - scared them without doing a lot Kante 8 again different class, even when he loses the ball he wins it. Schlupp 6 - didn't do much. Ranieri 8 - 10 changes, we could have scored at least6! West Ham - felt they were very boring. Passing round the back with no real impact up top. 60 odd % possession and did very little with it.
Rasmic123 Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Schwarzer - 5 - had nothing to do Simpson - 7 - would have given him higher as he had a very good first 60. But after that he seemed intent on getting sent off and he could have cost us. Was - 8 - Defence was very solid last night and a lot of this was down to a very good performance from was. Benny - 9 - Aside from Morgan against Villa, best centre half performance i've seen all season. Won pretty much everything and looked really confident on and off the ball. Fuchs - 9 - MOTM. He looked bloody good, dont think many would argue that. Looked a complete left back last night, very solid defensively and providing some excellent crosses into the box (including the one for Kingy's winner). Hope he keeps playing like that, will definitely keep Schlupp on his toes playing like that. Dodoo - 6 - Didn't really do much apart from scoring. Personally think he's quite a way from being a genuine option in the premiership but if he keeps scoring and getting game time, he'll get there. King - 8 - Accomplished performance in the middle of the park and getting the winner completed a very good performance from the lad. Inler - 7 - Awful in the first half, much better after that though as he grew into the game and started to look like a £5million player with champions league experience. Albrighton - 8 - His crosses and movement were a constant threat, we're gonna have some real headaches on the wings with Albrighton, Mahrez, Dyer and Schlupp to choose from. Ulloa - 9 - He had the beating of the West Ham defence all night and looked really elegant on the ball. If he replicates that performance again, he has to be starting. Kram - 4 - Well, now we know why he hasn't been starting. Head wasn't in the game at any point and all night he was incredibly irritating to watch. Looked like a bit of a prima donna last night with the cocky finishes and passes and the lazy attitude. Either sort yourself out Kram or you can go in January. Subs: Kante - 8 - Great player, hounds players so well in the middle of the park and he made a positive difference when he came on. Needs to work on his ball retention and quality of passing but Kante and Drinkwater in the midfield against Arsenal please Claudio. Schlupp - 5 - Never got into the game, not his night I'm afraid. We know what he can do though so no cause for concern. Mahrez - 6 - Didn't make the difference many hoped he would but did ok. A couple of nice dribbles but he knows he should have had a goal last night. All in all, one of the best performances this season and a real cause for optimisim. If our second string can play that well against the 3rd best team in the league, it suggests that all the pundits and opposition fans saying we dont have the squad to push for a top 10 finish are wrong. Not saying we will finish top 10 but after that game, we could definitely push for it. Up the foxes! Edit: also worth pointing out, I think this is only the second game this season I've given 9s out, a few players did themselves a lot of favours last night
