brisfox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 I was looking forward to seeing the Palace fans today as they travel in good numbers and are very loud (at least at home). Thought today they were rubbish to be honest, we out sang them throughout the game. Thoughts?
4everfox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Yes I think the King Power stadium hosts the best atmosphere in the country in all honesty. It also hosts the best football.
johnny the fox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Yes I think the King Power stadium hosts the best atmosphere in the country in all honesty. It also hosts the best football. but the pies leave a bit to be desired..
jimmeh Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Yes I think the King Power stadium hosts the best atmosphere in the country in all honesty. It also hosts the best football. I would suggest the Emirates hosts the best football personally
Sir Shep Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 I did chuckle at them singing WLY to which we responded in kind, completely drowned them out TBF.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 For me, Palace and Leicester have the best two home atmospheres in the BPL.
CharlieCharles Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 For me, Palace and Leicester have the best two home atmospheres in the BPL. Really, thought they have been average the past few seasons, just 30 lads who think they are ultras and all dress in black with a drum.
Matt Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Thought it was quite quiet at times today but on a whole from the end of last season through to now it's been brilliant one of if not the best. Â Can't believe it's took us so long, it was diabolical until the end of last season. Â It's only took us 13 years but I think it's fair to say we've finally settled in at this stadium, it feels like 'home' finally. Â I was disappointed in the Palace fans today given the wankfest over their atmosphere, saying that i've never been that impressed with their home atmosphere's, it's not all that really.
Dynamogoon Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Worst away fans I've heard (or not) this season. Expected more, obviously all hype
Juvenile Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 They didn't really have much to be joyful about. Disappointing, one of the worst this season.
Guest ttfn Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 I thought the Palace fans were alright to be honest. Really got behind their team in the 10 minutes or so after they went 1-0 down otherwise they were mediocre
The Year Of The Fox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Their atmosphere was crap at their place last year
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 The Palace atmosphere thing is a myth.
Dan Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 If we can maintain this level of noise without the clappers, then I will really start bragging about our home crowd.
Swiper Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 TV Cameras were shaking and the commentators for NBC Sports here in the U.S. pointed it out a few times. Don't know that I've ever seen that happen, regardless of the sport. Really great stuff.
Weller in Tights Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 If we can maintain this level of noise without the clappers, then I will really start bragging about our home crowd. I thought the atmosphere was a little subdued for us yesterday, I was putting it down to the fact it was a tense close game. It was alright at the start and It picked up towards the end though when the team needed it, as Palace came at us. Generally though I think our atmosphere has been great and that's from an old bugger who used to moan about our atmosphere and look at the Filbert Atreet days through rose tinted glasses. We mustn't become complacent though.
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Really, thought they have been average the past few seasons, just 30 lads who think they are ultras and all dress in black with a drum. They were in the ground at about 2, singing and jumping around, by kick off I couldn't hear them at all!
Fox92 Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Can't really comment about "in the country" part as there are home atmosphere's throughout the football league which are good. Â In terms of the PL, I can't remember the last home atmosphere I've been impressed with. This season I've been to three away's so far - West Ham, Norwich, Stoke - and I can't really think who was the loudest out of those three, for instance. I mean people bang on about the Britannia but both this season and last season they weren't as I expected.Â
Guest Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Their atmosphere was crap at their place last year that is utter made up bs. they were loud all game last year at Selhurst. Much more so than their trips here.Â
Matt Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 that is utter made up bs. they were loud all game last year at Selhurst. Much more so than their trips here.  I have to agree with TYOTF, it was pretty shite.  I'm not one to wade into these types of arguments, if it good i'll say so, if it wasn't then i'll say, to me it was nowt special last year.
Crazy Kop Corner Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 I have to agree with TYOTF, it was pretty shite.  I'm not one to wade into these types of arguments, if it good i'll say so, if it wasn't then i'll say, to me it was nowt special last year.  It was quiet first half. The guys in the corner were obviously singing but I couldn't hear them from our end. It was only after they scored the second goal and the rest of the stand and one or two other areas joined in that they were noisy. They're over rated although you have to agree that they have one or two cracking songs.

Blame it on the charlie.
Carl the Llama Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 TV Cameras were shaking and the commentators for NBC Sports here in the U.S. pointed it out a few times. Don't know that I've ever seen that happen, regardless of the sport. Really great stuff. It's happened every home game this season and happened a lot last year too. Â It's become our little signature for televised home matches. Â Long may it continue.
brisfox Posted 25 October 2015 Author Posted 25 October 2015 Was watching Liverpool in the week. It was so quiet you could hear the players shouting. Not much chance of that at the KP
Matt Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Was watching Liverpool in the week. It was so quiet you could hear the players shouting. Not much chance of that at the KP Â Liverpool is awful nowadays, I mentioned it last year I don't know if the famous Anfield atmosphere has simply become bad or whether it was just all a myth. Â It's pathetic, it was used to seem like it was amazing but in recent years i've realised it's shite.
