Are our fans the loudest in the country?

I was looking forward to seeing the Palace fans today as they travel in good numbers and are very loud (at least at home). Thought today they were rubbish to be honest, we out sang them throughout the game. Thoughts?

Yes I think the King Power stadium hosts the best atmosphere in the country in all honesty. It also hosts the best football.

I would suggest the Emirates hosts the best football personally

For me, Palace and Leicester have the best two home atmospheres in the BPL.

Really, thought they have been average the past few seasons, just 30 lads who think they are ultras and all dress in black with a drum.

Thought it was quite quiet at times today but on a whole from the end of last season through to now it's been brilliant one of if not the best.

Can't believe it's took us so long, it was diabolical until the end of last season.

It's only took us 13 years but I think it's fair to say we've finally settled in at this stadium, it feels like 'home' finally.

I was disappointed in the Palace fans today given the wankfest over their atmosphere, saying that i've never been that impressed with their home atmosphere's, it's not all that really.

I thought the Palace fans were alright to be honest. Really got behind their team in the 10 minutes or so after they went 1-0 down otherwise they were mediocre

If we can maintain this level of noise without the clappers, then I will really start bragging about our home crowd.

TV Cameras were shaking and the commentators for NBC Sports here in the U.S. pointed it out a few times. Don't know that I've ever seen that happen, regardless of the sport. Really great stuff.

I thought the atmosphere was a little subdued for us yesterday, I was putting it down to the fact it was a tense close game.

It was alright at the start and It picked up towards the end though when the team needed it, as Palace came at us.

Generally though I think our atmosphere has been great and that's from an old bugger who used to moan about our atmosphere and look at the Filbert Atreet days through rose tinted glasses.

We mustn't become complacent though.

They were in the ground at about 2, singing and jumping around, by kick off I couldn't hear them at all!

Can't really comment about "in the country" part as there are home atmosphere's throughout the football league which are good.

In terms of the PL, I can't remember the last home atmosphere I've been impressed with. This season I've been to three away's so far - West Ham, Norwich, Stoke - and I can't really think who was the loudest out of those three, for instance. I mean people bang on about the Britannia but both this season and last season they weren't as I expected.

Their atmosphere was crap at their place last year

that is utter made up bs. they were loud all game last year at Selhurst. Much more so than their trips here.

I have to agree with TYOTF, it was pretty shite.

I'm not one to wade into these types of arguments, if it good i'll say so, if it wasn't then i'll say, to me it was nowt special last year.

It was quiet first half. The guys in the corner were obviously singing but I couldn't hear them from our end. It was only after they scored the second goal and the rest of the stand and one or two other areas joined in that they were noisy. They're over rated although you have to agree that they have one or two cracking songs.

If you are all right I must have a selective/shit memory. Blame it on the charlie.

It's happened every home game this season and happened a lot last year too.  It's become our little signature for televised home matches.  Long may it continue.

Was watching Liverpool in the week. It was so quiet you could hear the players shouting. Not much chance of that at the KP

Liverpool is awful nowadays, I mentioned it last year I don't know if the famous Anfield atmosphere has simply become bad or whether it was just all a myth.

It's pathetic, it was used to seem like it was amazing but in recent years i've realised it's shite.
