Babylon Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 Surely this poll will be useless considering this forum will have more younger generations using it. Thus warping the stats in favour.
Finnegan Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 I'm with Moose. I'd rather not listen than listen to Radio Leicester. ****ing awful commentary. Stringer is an absolute cancer on broadcasting. If we're on five live and I'm in the car or otherwise out of the house I'll listen, otherwise I'll watch Soccer Saturday. Would rather a few snippets of Unbelievable Jeff! every few minutes than listen to Stringer's constant stream of piss.

Wymsey Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 I'm almost certain Stringer got some national award for his broadcasting, though not recently? I actually like him at times, but when he doesn't know when to stop when he's 'going off on one'.
EnderbyFox Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 I often listen to the commentary, how else would I know what brand under armour the players are wearing? or what hot beverage the bloke in front of Stringer is sipping?
The Railway Man Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 Same as most, I used to listen to radio Leicester but I'd rather watch livescore on my phone for an hour that be forced to listen to that willy puller Stringer airing his insignificent opinions.
Finnegan Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 Probably come away knowing more about the game anyway. Yeah probably. Jeff: we now go to Kris Kamara at St James Park where there's been another goal in the game between Newcastle and high flying Leicester! Kris? Kammy: Huh? What? Jeff! Unbelievable! Jamie Vardy! Can't speak! Goal Jeff! JEFF! (Meanwhile on radio Leicester) Stringer: There's a chap over there in a lovely half and half scarf, Alan, we'll have to get one of those after the game. Oh it's going to rain soon there's clouds over there. You know I could really kill a chicken samosa about now. You seen the new Tom Cruise film? I like that. Alan Young: Yoo know Eeun ahhhm really impressed wii the way ah Jeff hus managed tay clone humself fer thus seeeasun. Ah really like thee way he's got the wee version of humself tacklin everyone in thus mudfeeeld. That solo goal against Norrrruch was really speshul fer one of those foreign lads. Stringer: You know, the Leicester fans are getting pretty excited. Has something happened? Young: Och aye that Yooki Abby just scored ah thunk Eeun. (At the ground, Shinji Okazaki puts Leicester ahead after a Jamie Vardy run and cross.)

5waller5 Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 This won't give you much of an indication of age of their listeners though ..... It will only give you an age range for FT members that listen to RL, more of an indicator of forum demographics than RL listeners. 80%+ of which will be 20-50yr old men, as with any football forum
Lestoh Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 To be fair, it just gives you an indication of the amount of funny fvckers who tick 80+
lifted*fox Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 To be fair, it just gives you an indication of the amount of funny fvckers who tick 80+ Yeah, I totally didn't do that...
gerrytaggart Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 I dont listen to the radio commentary if I can help it. I voted to obscure the results of the poll.
anotherwin Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 There's only two votes in my age group, .....call me nuts, but I also sometimes listen to it whilst I'm down the match......... worth a laugh though! I find it hard to listen at home though, I'm tearing my hair out....oh..wait...
Arkie Bennett Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 Why is the age range 50-60 instead of 50-59?
demon_dog Posted 4 November 2015 Posted 4 November 2015 Only listen to it when we are away from home and that's only because I take the dog for a long walk to hear it without being interrupted !
Wymsey Posted 4 November 2015 Posted 4 November 2015 It's not as funny and frustrating at the same time after Young was ousted - with him often mis-prouncing names and not being in touch with how the game is played/developed.
