Xen Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 It's also in Arsenal and Man City's hands though isn't it? If we lose to both of them and they both win their remaining games? They play each other (2nd last game of the season), so one of them has to drop points at some stage at least, so 2nd is definitely in our hands regardless. A draw against both of them next month would put it entirely in our hands. Not that any of us will be going on 15 match winning streaks any time soon.
ThaiFox Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Said this in another thread, but I do think it going to be an important part of the run in. As much as I love the FA cup, in our current position I'm so pleased we're now out. With Arsenal & Man City having C/L and Arsenal, Man City, Man Utd, Tottingham, all in the FA cup, (Tottingham still in the E/L as well) and Man City in the League cup, we now have a 15 game season, with no complications. Whilst we rest up all our rivals have other fixtures to play which will tire and mentally strain players, fans and managers. Managers will have to deal with which players to rest in certain matches, they will have to deal with suspensions or injuries that players may pick up in these extra games. The longer they all continue in these other competitions the better it is for us, as was shown yesterday with a Stoke side obviously having half their minds on the League Cup. Hopefully Liverpool will be shattered when we play them on Tuesday week after we've had a clear 10 day period of preparation and they've had to play Stoke in a cup semi final, and West Ham in the FA cup. Which order they will prioritize to play their best team?
foxes161 Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Man city have cup Wednesday, FA cup on Saturday then league following Tuesday. Liverpool the same This helps us
Zed4q Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 I am expecting to wake up and find it has all been a dream and we really are bottom 10 points away from safety with another Great Escape to look forward to.I keep thinking the same thing

ceredigion Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 English premier league football is now a global product in a way that it never was before. Hundreds of millions of people around the world are following the PL and wondering who Leicester are and whether we can actually win the league. Let's not disappoint them lads.
fuchsntf Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 "Hun, poppa's back!" AAARRRRRRRGggggggHHHHHHHH, IT wasnt a dream...it lives...
Finnegan Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Imagine if we secured the title the game before at home to Everton, and we get a guard of honour at Stamford Bridge on the last game. Unreal. Don't worry, it's nearly time for Aguero to get injured again.
MattyGamble Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 Some people need to remember it isn't the fans playing the matches. Fans of United might "throw" a game against us to stop City, Chelsea fans might "throw" a game to stop Arsenal but the players don't give a shit about that sort of thing. Especially when those two clubs are underperforming. Let's just concentrate on what we do. That's all the matters from here.
Rincewind Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 ATM it seems like a four club race. Once we get Man City and Arsenal out the way we have some winnable games for the next few. How many head to head 6 pointers have the other 3 got? Ours may be just as tricky if playing relegation fighters. I can't see why we cannot take a point off each of Arsenal and Man City and beat Liverpool. But as others have said it is what we do that matters. Let the others worry about their fate.
