England wingers

Sure it's been mentioned but I've only noticed in the last 5 minutes of the first that lalana is playing. How the bloody hell has Albrighton not been considered? Industry, crossing, table topping team, ever present. Am I just being biased?

Walcott hasn't been used in either game yet - must be very much down the pecking order (and quite rightly so..)

I actually like Walcott but isn't he part of what has already been tried and failed? And also again in terms of form lower in the league than Albrighton heading into a tournament (can't believe I'm saying that but I am

I don't see how Lallana has ever been as good as Albrighton has been this season? Lallana's peak has been finishing 7th in the Premier League with Southampton and Liverpool.

I can sort of understand Henderson was good tbf when Liverpool finished 2nd, but Lallana has literally always been a mid-table player. I really don't understand why he's such an automatic pick for England.

Sterling so far not lived upto his potential and hype.If Milner wasnt picked, I would however

take Sterling, but playing only as a winger, telling him to get to the byeline, cutting in less.

If Sterling isnt fit, I would chose Walcott or push Antonio and Albrighton.

I quite like Albrighton but I wouldn't say he was England quality. Him and Lallana are similar in ability but Lalllana edges it for me and his game is arguably more suited to England's style of play and dare I say international football in general.

For me in the summer Albrighton is one of the players that I think we can improve on. He's no Mahrez, Vardy or Kante.

Albrighton is important for us though. His work rate, tenacity, tracking back.. Also no one else has created more chances for us this season. He has qualities that will be hard to replace.

Love him.

Albrighton's curse is that you won't miss him until he's gone, and when he is gone you won't realise that it's him you're missing.

He's industrious, threatening, defensively aware, quicker than perceived and a popular member of the team. We probably could improve on him, in the sense that we could theoretically improve on anyone besides Kante, but I wouldn't worry if we didn't. He's been ever present in the team at the top of the league, and alongside Huth heralded our upswing in form last year. There's no room for passengers when you're fighting for the league, and we haven't carried anyone...

Not to mention he gives the side great tactical balance and giving Mahrez the freedom to get forward and basically roam from his winger role, you need a winger as defensive minded and as willing to hold his position to allow Mahrez to do that without losing you midfield shape and allowing the other team to just counter through the midfield.

It's no coincidence that the moment he came into the team last season was the moment we started winning as he was almost the final piece of the jigsaw in terms of the team's tactical balance and our defence especially improved when he got in the side.

He's definitely a player I appreciated a lot more since I specifically made a point to watch him for a game or two. His off the ball work is superb and the amout of counter-attacks he cuts out is probably his most under appreciated attribute, the amount of times the opposition has a potential counter attack but he's often first on the scene, jockeying the player and shutting out space allowing other players to get back and in position.

Reminds me a lot of Pontus Kaamark in that people didn't fully appreciate him until he was injured and out of the side. I definitely think we'd miss him and people will finally see what he offers if he was out the side, I don't think Schlupp or Gray or Dyer would allow Mahrez the same creative freedom without losing something defensively as a team.

As others have said, he's actually created the most chances of any Leicester player this season and has created the most chances of any English player in the PL this season as well! Stastically he's actually been the most creative English winger by a decent distance this season.

He's definitely better than the likes of Townsend, Walcott and Ox and would've been a better option for England in recent times tbf.

No one is saying he's Vardy, Mahrez or Kante, but he certainly has been a very important and often underrated and underacknowledged player for us since he came into the side last March.

People are getting way too ahead of themselves when I hear them saying we need to improve on players like Albrighton, Schmeichel and Huth next season. 11 players with perfect tactical balance and teamwork is what got us here, not 11 individuals.

He is a very under-rated player. You don't be an ever-present (or near enough if he isn't) in a side who's been this good for this long without having something about you. He's got a lot more end product than most of England's wide options.
