fez when did you know you were going to be writing a book? Like was this just a journal and then we kept winning and you thought shit wait a min this could actually be a book?

Started it mid-Feb last year when it looked like we were going to get relegated, just thought it would be interesting to record what it felt like. Obviously then we completely fcuked that plan up by being amazing for the last nine games.

This season I carried on writing about each game with the idea that I'd aim to get it published but it needed a season like this to actually get interest from publishers. About February this year I sorted a publisher and then began to turn it into a more rounded book, interviewing a few people with interesting stories to tell and writing up brief pieces about each player.

For the past two months or so I've been working 8 til 4, getting home and working on the book straight through til 11. It's been insane.

I'm really happy with it though. Because of the deadlines involved and having to work a normal week on top of it there's the odd bit here and there I might have done differently if I'd had more time but it's all fallen into place just in time.

The main reason for it all along has been to reflect what it's been like from the fans' perspective so hopefully it does that.

Hoping to see the first copies next week or the week after.

This season has definitely been two lifelong dreams rolled into one.

When this hitting the shops, I need to put my Father's Day order in, in fact it's the first Father's Day when asked what I that want I've actually requested something. lol

30th June mate, shame it doesn't quite make it for Fathers Day but it's not far off!

I hope you've got the rights to the inevitable film too?!!! I'd like to be in that please, dressed in a silk dressing gown just about to get in a bath full of Skol.

30th June mate, shame it doesn't quite make it for Fathers Day but it's not far off!

That's ok, I don't mind belated presents. I usually bye ebooks but think I'll get the physical version of this, (family heirloom lol) is it just on Amazon? Or is it in the shops as well? Sorry I know you've posted this in here somewhere, but I'm feeling lazy today.

It's cheaper on Wordery than Amazon with free delivery. Also available to click and collect through the Waterstones website which saves on the delivery.

£9 at wordery. Ordered and looking forward to it..mind you its the first book I've read since Peter and Jane and David could be finishing off the European Cup Victory book by the time i finish this!!!
