promised land Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Appreciate it's tough to answer, but does anyone have any inkling based on past European trips, or arrangements other Premier League teams have, the likelihood of getting tickets for CL away games if you arent a P1 or P2 ST holder? Would absolutely love to go to any away we have but no idea if demand will be as high as it is now for away Premier League tickets where P3 down have no chance This could go one of two ways really, a lot of P1 STH I've been chatting to at aways the last few games are saying they'll most likely do 1 away, also isn't the allocation smaller than we're used to in the premier league, so on the one hand less regular away fans going but a smaller batch of tickets to boot. If it's a team in Isreal or Russia in the groups the criteria would go quite far I reckon, yet if we come across the big 2 from Spain, Germany every P1 will be going. Personally I'm doing the lot, who knows if or when we will be in this situation again? It's within my means both cost and having time off so only one answer, plus it looks like it will be a fly in, game, fly out thing from what they said on Sunday, yes you could go your own way and make a few days of it but then it will get expensive doing that every game. Now it's confirmed I'm not fussed about these friendly games one bit, will put that money towards the important European games.
Merging Cultures Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 My mum's husband is a gimp, and an Arsenal fan. Has said about 8 times in the last few days how we'll have to play twice a week with CL and the PL. I'm like, so? He seems to think it's a huge issue. I couldn't care less. We'll manage our team effectively IMO.
dpjfox Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 a win this week for psg and dormund will but an end to all the hype about clubs sneeking above us

And we have done that. If that means we have to play twice a week then so be it, we smashed the championship doing that.

I really don't care what happens next season. If we win the league I'll take relegation in return. We'll have been champions of England ffs.
Guest Bilo Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 No because I know that's not how probability works. No shit. Just an excellent chance given how football tends to work.....
Guest Bilo Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Imagine if we get Atheltico Madrid and Red Star Belgrade 82 points from 90 in the Serbian league. In fairness though, the league is ranked between the Azerbaijani and Kazakh leagues, so I'm not sure how much that'd actually count for.
Guest Bilo Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 What a ****ing group that'd be though... Monaco, Madrid and Piraeus. Wouldn't fancy Monaco as much. Small ground, terrible support and Monte Carlo would probably be prohibitively expensive. From an away fan's perspective, the likes of Lyon and Marseille would be far better away days.

Mind, when Red Star and Partizan are your only two clubs to show for, you know it can't be right.

I think most would have a hard time naming many Serb teams beyond those two. Either way, it's a weak league and teams enter at the second qualifying round.

You don't have to visit Monaco (which is absolutely overpriced and narrow and tiny as ****) in order to have a good time down South. Just stick to Nice which is... you know... There's also a lot of direct flights and you'll love the esplanade. Monaco is surrounded by France on three sides. I'd also recommend Menton, close to the border with Italy. Very laid-back and great for a spring, summer or early autumn trip.

Nice are in a decent position as well, at least an outside chance of making the qualifiers, and it has a decent stadium. That would be the only realistic option as Monte Carlo would be downright extortionate as an away day.
