weller54 Posted 24 April 2016 Author Posted 24 April 2016 Great to see Chelsea get a bit of form back yesterday with a big win.. JUST SMASH THOSE COCKY SPUDS TO BITS!...
Gerard Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Its going to be a big factor on this final push , Chelsea have some quality players. Fav's to win the league you remember , and they will turn up for this game, it will be a war I see some reds coming for sure . if we win it be beating them on the last day spuds fans will be throwing the toys out of the pram for the rest of their lives. That would be beautiful if Chelsea put in a world class performance and beat Spurs and were absolute crap against us. It would be worth it just to hear the Spurs fans moan about it for years afterwards.
weller54 Posted 24 April 2016 Author Posted 24 April 2016 They're coming for you They're coming for you JT's Boys! They're coming for you...
st albans fox Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 I'm. not convinced by hazards comments. Of all the Chelsea players, he would surely be happy for his four Belgian team mates to take the title. I expect he is merely playing his own fans. I expect Chelsea to turn it against Spurs but I don't expect hazard to be leading the charge.
FantasticMrFox&Son Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Depending on who Chelsea start with, I think a few tasty tackles might be flying in and lot's of baiting on and off the ball. Looking forward to it and a full strength Chelsea to take all 3 points.
weller54 Posted 25 April 2016 Author Posted 25 April 2016 If Chelsea can hold Spuds to a draw then we can win the title by beating Everton... I think this will be the likely scenario.
The Guvnor Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 This has been blown up out of all proportions by a few tongue in cheek comments by Chelsea players. The fixtures always have an influence on teams, you may be lucky to play teams when they are out of form or unlucky to play a team that's on a run, playing teams at the end of the season who have fcuk all to play for or playing teams that are fighting for survival or top four etc etc. I would say taking all things into consideration Spuds were dealt the better hand with their final 6 games, stop whinging about a few players not wanting a rival team to win, it really is pathetic.
TrentFox Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Chelsea will be going all out to beat Spurs. Chelsea will be going all out to beat Leicester. Simple. It's what professionals do.
David Hankey Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Chelsea will be going all out to beat Spurs. Chelsea will be going all out to beat Leicester. Simple. It's what professionals do. Agreed, absolutely. We have to do the business ourselves and not rely on others. Both Everton & Chelsea can be beaten and with a draw at Old Trafford the title will be ours.
Monsell1976 Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 If Chelsea don't perform after the Spurs game, as their fans won't allow them not to perform, it will be due to the euro's and not risking injury. If it goes down to the Chelsea game, our players will want it more, fully committed to every challenge, which Chelsea won't, so Chelsea wont throw it for us, they will just have their mind on the summer.
Glasgow Rangers Forever Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 being a glasgow rangers fan living in london i often go and see chelsea (blues brothers) i am sure chelsea will beat thfc and mr ranieri will get a heros welcome we loved him here. i am sure leicester will beat chelsea
samlcfc1 Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Chelsea aren't going to roll over for anyone they've got a new manager to impress wether it's against Spurs or us they'll be out to perform
mancunianfox Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Chelsea aren't going to roll over for anyone they've got a new manager to impress wether it's against Spurs or us they'll be out to perform Stadium will be bizarro-world though if it comes down to the last game of the season, everyone will be wanting Leicester to win it. Plus, last game of the season are they really going to want to be going for every 50/50 when most of them will be important players for their countries in France in a few weeks? Likely a factor in the Everton and Southampton games too. Only Chelsea, Utd and Newcastle have anything to play for and the Geordies could be down by then anyway.
Guest Manini Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Hazard and Fabregas have both openly said they want us to win it. Make no bones about it, Spurs are going to get a shock at the bridge. If you think JT is going to let that Chelsea team go down without a fight against a Spurs team threatening to become another London side to win a title, you're an ostrich. I've got all my faith in Terry to get those players fired up for that. By no means do I think they'll give us an easy ride on the last day but hopefully it'll be done and dusted by then, I can't believe it.

Fox 4 Life Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Pretty conclusive thoughts here; Eden Hazard has admitted Chelsea are desperate to stop rivals Tottenham from winning the Premier League title. Interim manager Guus Hiddink assured Chelsea fans his team would do "everything in our power" to beat Spurs on May 2 at Stamford Bridge, a match live on Sky Sports 1 HD. Chelsea will have a huge say in where the Premier League trophy will head as they host current leaders Leicester on the last day of the season and Hazard made it quite clear after Saturday's 4-1 win at Bournemouth who he wanted to come out on top. "We don't want Tottenham to win the Premier League, the fans, the club and the players," Hazard told Chelsea's club website. "In football you never know, we hope for Leicester because they deserve to be champions but we will see. We have a big game next week against Tottenham and if we can beat them it will be good." Hazard struck twice - his first Premier League goals this term - and Pedro and Willian found the net too, as Chelsea eased to victory at Bournemouth to lift themselves up to ninth. Hiddink, though, has vowed his players will not ease up at the end of a disappointing campaign. "We'll play the next game to win, and the next game is Tottenham," the Dutchman said. "At the end the strongest team will win the league. And the strongest team is who deserves the league as well. We've got nothing at stake really and we talked about that in the week. "But we don't want the season to fade away - that's what we don't want. And the players responded very well. Then of course we go into the next few games where nothing effectively is at stake for us either. "But if you play the way we played today then it's a guarantee that the team will do everything in our power to go for the win. In terms of attitude they will do everything until the end of the season, and of course, you know our schedule - and the next game is Tottenham." http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/10256773/hazard-we-want-leicester-to-win
FireFox Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 If Chelsea can hold Spuds to a draw then we can win the title by beating Everton... I think this will be the likely scenario. Not if we win against Man United (or do you not think this is likely?), then a Chelsea Spurs draw will mean we won it.
weller54 Posted 25 April 2016 Author Posted 25 April 2016 Not if we win against Man United (or do you not think this is likely?), then a Chelsea Spurs draw will mean we won it. Winning at OT maybe a tough ask.. I think a draw would be decent.
gdl9050 Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Discussion on talksport on this at moment. Adrian Durham saying it's outrageous and thinks hazard and fabregas should be banned for saying they want Leicester to win the league when they have to play both Spurs and us.
Glasgow Rangers Forever Posted 4 May 2016 Posted 4 May 2016 why would a chelsea player have wanted thfc to win the league - no chance
biggs Posted 4 May 2016 Posted 4 May 2016 Discussion on talksport on this at moment. Adrian Durham saying it's outrageous and thinks hazard and fabregas should be banned for saying they want Leicester to win the league when they have to play both Spurs and us. Wow!!! what a bunch of sour grapes. Banned haha....if the man had a brain he'd look at the context of the banter and of course they'd rather any team than spurs win it. I don't believe either said they'd make it easy for us. Did he care that Stoke rolled over for the spurs. Spurs knew the game v Chelsea would be pivotal. Should have beaten them when up 2-0 but they panicked, should have beaten WBA at home. Regardless of what they said the team still had to perform and it was spurs that handed them the victory even if Hazard's goal was a cracker.
Rushden fox Posted 4 May 2016 Posted 4 May 2016 Sorry can't see hazard having the guts to soldier through thundering challenges that will be flying. Easy to talk, in all likelihood will dissapear when it counts. Hope I'm wrong Thankfully you were, there's nothing more satisfying than reading old threads...someone always gets it right
