Midwest Posted 3 May 2016 Posted 3 May 2016 You know the type - from Leicester but has always talked about Liverpool as 'we've won the European cup 200 times', 'we have the best fans in the world' we.... blah puke blah Now they want to jump on the Leicester bandwagon. They ask you to get them a ticket. Say 'sure' and take their money. Go online and get them a ticket to Liverpool's next home game. Stick it in an envelope with a picture of Kenny Dalglish and Ian Rush in there as well. Tell them it's something for them to wank over - like they always have done in the past. Don't welcome them.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 3 May 2016 Posted 3 May 2016 You do know that, when you win the PL, you are guaranteed to attract a greater following? You'll just have to get used to it
Guest Posted 3 May 2016 Posted 3 May 2016 I don't agree. Leicester have pulled off a miracle and it's great to see what it's done to the City and Leicester people. I've attended at least 1 match every year since leaving England and I was one of only 6000 at home to Carlisle a long time ago. I'm over in England for the last 2 games but know I won't get a ticket to the Everton match. I don't care. It's great for Leicester and I'm sure I'll get tickets again when we return to being a more moderate side. Let the world rejoice and don't hold a grudge. We are Champions!
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 3 May 2016 Posted 3 May 2016 I hate this whole "you're a plastic, I'm a real fan" BS It's ****ing childish
Midwest Posted 3 May 2016 Author Posted 3 May 2016 Missing the point. Totally welcome new fans - just not the twatty current glory supporter types who would have been taking the piss had Leicester gone down and 'their team' had won the Super Universe Cup for the 2,000th time. We all know some.
GaelicFox Posted 3 May 2016 Posted 3 May 2016 We are huge ! Welcome all new , returning and "plastic" fans we are a broad church of good people (well one or two are well suspect) who will welcome all to our happy little home. Welcome
AyewJoking Posted 3 May 2016 Posted 3 May 2016 how are "new" fans going to get tickets when there arent even enough for old fans?
Guest TaggertvsWise Posted 3 May 2016 Posted 3 May 2016 I don't think it's the right kind of attitude for this team. Everyone is welcome, that's how it should be and what I am sure the players and Claudio would welcome. Dilly dong, all aboard!
GaelicFox Posted 3 May 2016 Posted 3 May 2016 how are "new" fans going to get tickets when there arent even enough for old fans? Hospitality and in fairness anyone willing to pay 300 to watch us play is very very welcome !!!
Ozwin Posted 3 May 2016 Posted 3 May 2016 I picked the wrong time to go to University. Had a season ticket before I went aswell Season tickets are going to be like gold dust from here on out, getting on that ladder is going to be nigh on impossible.
Itsthejoeker Posted 3 May 2016 Posted 3 May 2016 I'm not prepared to give away my ticket unless I get 150 words on how long they've been a fan and why it would mean so much to them.
lgfualol Posted 3 May 2016 Posted 3 May 2016 I hate this whole "you're a plastic, I'm a real fan" BS It's ****ing childish My facebook page was full of it. Just let people enjoy it, whether they're die-hards or relatively new ffs.
Izzy Posted 3 May 2016 Posted 3 May 2016 To be fair, if I was a life long Liverpool or Man U fan, I'd probably want to switch and start supporting us now
Durnerz Posted 3 May 2016 Posted 3 May 2016 I'll be looking to get in the home ends on our Champions League away nights.Better treatment from the police being one reason.

Yeah couldn't agree more - most of them join internet forums and to hide their plastic background start threads about proper supporters. Is that not welcoming enough? (I was trying to find an edgy balance.)

One who has been reading this board for the last few months. Never saw the need to register/post but because I am actually going to be in St Louis that weekend it had to be asked on your post... "
David Hankey Posted 3 May 2016 Posted 3 May 2016 There will always be those who jump on the bandwagon, some undoubtedly never been to Leicester let alone Filbert Street or Filbert Way. Man Utd have thousands, nay millions, who have never been to Old Trafford. This is the same of many so-called big Clubs. At the end of the day everyone knows who they really are and I can tell you Leicester is the city of my birth, first visited Filbo Street in 1955 and supported them one way or another ever since.

Brucers Posted 3 May 2016 Posted 3 May 2016 Everytime someone says they are a Man U fan, I make comment on how they've lost their Manchester accent!!

" Wasn't pretending to be a Leicester fan! Just someone who hates glory supporters (which 99.9% of you ain't - not sure about that other 0.1% though...) Not quite to the same level but when Saints made it to the mighty JPT Final the other year you had loads of Southampton based Lpool, Arsenal etc fans wanting tickets. Most were politely told where to go. Anyway, not here on a wind-up. Thanks for the great season. I (like many others) were on your bandwagon (no I don't need any tickets). Need to dig up that thread that someone did when you won your first game of the season 'we're gonna win the league' or something like that - how you all laughed. Enjoy Saturday.

Stevie Lynex Posted 3 May 2016 Posted 3 May 2016 Damn phone I've been a city fan for coming up 40 years, been to probably more home and away games In the first 25 years than most on here. Been living up north for the last 15 but moving down again in nxt few months so if I manage to get a ticket even though I've never had the opportunity to get down to kp stadium before does that make me a plastic ?or does all the away games to likes of Oxford, Wrexham Hartlepool from years ago still count just cuz I've not been able to go last few years doesn't make u plastic means real life's got in the way
Monsell1976 Posted 3 May 2016 Posted 3 May 2016 Love to know where these foreign vistors are getting tickets from, they only joined the bandwagon in about Feb, so how are they getting in above paying members, who are saying they cannot get a ticket, seems a lot at kp at the minute
