Batfink77 Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Looking to bring family (wife and 2 kids) into Leicester to see the boys lift the cup in a nice family pub. Was thinking slug and lettuce. Anyone suggest anywhere else? Would be good to get a table (what with the kids). Any suggestions gratefully received.. I know its going to be rammed wherever.
Larry_LCFC Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 I think your last line sums it up. Unless you plan on getting there very very early, everywhere will be beyond rammed and full of very drunk and people
DaveK Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Cant really think of anywhere that would be good for young kids in town. I wouldn't really recommend Slug and Lettuce as it will be so busy.
kingcarr21 Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 EVERY pub in Leicester will be heaving. Even if you managed to get a table you will be surrounded by Leicester fans standing and wont be able to see a tv screen. Saturday really isn't the day to take wife and kids to town unless they are prepared to be standing all day.
sly1 Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 All of them all going to get rammed lovely weather beer just a brilliant day enjoy everyone
ScouseFox Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 I'm coming tomorrow night and still preparing to stand from about 10 in the morning until going the game.
Batfink77 Posted 5 May 2016 Author Posted 5 May 2016 Yes I think you are all probably right. Anyone know of any organised family events to see the cup lifted at some venue or other? Or am I clutching at straws..
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Coming up with girlfriend to watch the game in a pub and get lashed after, any suggestions for places to watch it suitable for ladies too? Not lived in Leicester since 5 years old and normally just come up at about 2pm on Saturdays and go straight to the stadium.

Alf Bentley Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Blue Oyster Bar, the ladies loo is the cleanest in the world!!!! Is that because you've licked all the seats clean, Doc?
Dr The Singh Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Is that because you've licked all the seats clean, Doc? No because i'm the only lady that goes in there and my poo actually is a fragrance!!!
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Blue Oyster Bar, the ladies loo is the cleanest in the world!!!! Thanks very much! Is it likely to be popular?
Bert Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Crowies will be rammed but has stuff outside for kids to play on.
AKCJ Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 If you would prefer a family pub that isn't rammed then I would head out of the City a bit. I would be surprised if there is breathing space in any pub in the City.
Batfink77 Posted 5 May 2016 Author Posted 5 May 2016 Ok. Advice definitely taken on board, so...any nice (with sky sports) pubs outside of city that people can recommend. Only ones I've come up with dont do footy!
GaelicFox Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Oadby owl mate you will be fine in there get in early and get a table infront of TV and you will all be able to watch
