Everything else has had a mention so far but looking at the quality of the pitch on motd right down to the stars. Ed Mowe was good but the new guy is next level?

Every time you think it couldn't be any better they come with something even better again, I'm expecting the Champions league logo in the centre circle next season

It's consistently outstanding. I see pictures of it mostly every home game and it makes me look forward to the match even more.

I said the same thing to a mate yesterday! First group home game!!!!

It looked amazing.

I am old enough to remember when, at this time of the season, the pitch would be brown all over, apart from a little bit of green along the touchlines. And with rain like we had in the first half yesterday, it would have been a quagmire.

Anyone who tells you football was better in the good old days is talking bollox. Take it from someone who was there.

Not in the champions league it won't be; there's apparently some rule that states patterns like we've been doing aren't allowed. Straight stripes across the pitch only or something.

Think the team are now led by Simon Gibson.

John Ledwidge (another member of the grounds staff) usually provides pictures on Twitter of their fine work.

best in the world (probably)

you would think a near perfect playing and looking pitch can easily be achieved with todays money but maybe our groundstaff just want it more lol

Just for the Man City home game, a sort of here's what you could have had Pep.
