Bunyip Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 The anger of your lot reminds me of our close neighbours Being the biggest club in the Midlands, I've got use to it, but coming on here and wishing you well only to see pure jealousy that you haven't won a cup as big as the Anglo-Italian cup is hardly surprising as it's a cup only big clubs win. I'd like to give you a special prize . Well done . this is a top wind up post , in fact one of the best I've come across . Just look at the idiots replying to it . Credit where it's due .
worthosoriginals Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 first off, I would just like to say well done on winning the league a great achievement for such a small club like yours. I'm hearing that people are calling this the greatest in sporting history? wtf. When you win the Anglo-Italian cup, come back and spout that you have won the biggest trophy there is to win. Notts County fc = most successful European club in the Midlands first off, I would just like to say well done on winning the league a great achievement for such a small club like yours. Notts County fc = most successful European club in the Midlands It's all very well rubbing your success in our faces, but did you see the possession stats during that campaign? You were nowhere mate, proving it was flukeball. Plus, dogged by accusations of doping, very likely given how fit your players seemed to be. You were lucky mate, everything fell your way, and the sponsors, schedulers and refs saw to it you won the games that mattered. Still, I grudgingly have to agree, County definitely have the best European pedigree in the Midlands. Until next season...
MrSpaM Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Can't believe some of you are taking this guy seriously the Anglo-Italian cup is a competition for teams in the second tier of the English and Italian leagues ffs
Rincewind Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 It was 2.30 when I replied. I took the OP as a joke which is why I suggested he was a Florist fan. But he could also be making fun of his own club. Really he wants to congratulate us and celebrate with us but feels other Notts County fans will see it as betrayal. My suspicions about a wind up when he replied that he was not proud to say Notts County are known as the Millwall of the Midlands. Classic. What is their attendance now? 5000. We take that many to away games. What percentage of fans are trouble makers 5%? I am sure 50 or so could be dealt with easy enough. Away support for them would be a minibus. I see it like some late night Treeters who claim the world is flat. I am sure some are doing it as a wind up.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Sense of humour gentlemen, he's clearly just having a gentle prod. It's not humour though is itapparentky it is?

Rincewind Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Please stop overthinking this. It was a light-hearted joke. Great stuff, OP. I have too much spare time on my hands. Well that's my excuse.
Dan Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 21 years since we won Europe biggest trophy I'm happy you won the league as I hate spurs and your manager is great. Just don't understand why you are all hating my club, still bitter we beat you 4-1 in 1994 is my guess Yeah me born in 1993 is truly cut up over Mansfield beating us 4-1 in 1994.
Corky Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Come back when you've won the Westerby Cup or Pepsi Max Challenge. Until then, be respectful of the true trophy winning side in the region.
