Yes they were our main title contenders, yes they jokingly chanted 'Leicester City, we're coming for you' a few times but crikey, why are people so happy that Arsenal finished higher than them? Let's get off our high horse and enjoy the fact that we are Champions of England... because Spurs gave us a damn good run for our money.

But yes, most of their fans on 606 earlier were absolutely clueless. Especially the guy that got the last call, stating how they were the best team in the league by a mile and we got lucky

Why be bitter over a little banter over the title race. During the run in we received so many messages from well wishers and after we won it we received Congratulations from around the world. Let's enjoy our victory, no need to rub in with the ones who lost out. I don't remember them taunting us when they beat us at Wembley in league cup final.

Every now and then it deals you a shitter and you have to take it, today was lining up to be a dull final day with nothing much to play for, spurs and arsenal provided the entertainment. spurs have gave some out, today they'll have to take it, it's why we love and sometimes hate the game, but it's a beautiful caldron at the end of the day.

Well, that's not too difficult since there was no proper LCFC messageboard operating back in 1999 (or was there?). That is, if you're speaking of online taunting only. Besides, the goading isn't directed at Spurs or Spurs fans in general, more like a special part of their fanbase (who sadly seem to be Fighting Cocks).

I remember them taunting us good and proper that day. Especially some flash cvnts who'd hired a Limo and drove it past us as we queued to get out of Wembley car park. They all hung out of it with Champagne bottles singing and taking the piss. But Karma ensued as their Limo also got stuck in traffic and some of our lads got off our coach and went over to have a 'friendly chat' with them.
