Bob Weasel Fox Posted 27 May 2016 Share Posted 27 May 2016 At first I thought Morgan but the more I thought about it the harder it was to differentiate between others like Simpson and Drinkwater in particular. In fact I've never felt less like singling anyone out as doing a better job than anyone else in our achievements. It really was a team effort with every main-choice player in every position facing all sorts of challenges and pressures yet battling through like a hero. Even the substitutes stepped up when it mattered. Three defeats all season can't happen if you've significant weak links. And our marvellous counter-attacking would have counted for little if the defence had leaked like a sieve or if one or two players like Albrighton or Shinji had disappeared into hiding when the going got tough. Everyone had specific jobs to do on top of their specialisations and, to a man, they turned up for every test, even on the rare days we lost. Bryn Posted 27 May 2016 Share Posted 27 May 2016 Vardy. I've never see a player's speed, strength, technique, touch, finishing, composure, all improve so dramatically.
Col city fan Posted 27 May 2016 Share Posted 27 May 2016 Easy...Simpson Last season...gash This season...Exceptional. Wes is Wes. He would have been fine last season if we'd have had any protection from the midfield. And if he played with Huth all season. But Simpson....I never thought I'd see him play so well. Yeah....went for Simpson too.....for exactly the same reason. All the others have shown in previous games/seasons they could be of that standard, but Simpson has been a huge surprise. Wolfox Posted 27 May 2016 Share Posted 27 May 2016 Went with instinct... Simpson without a doubt Went from from being truly forgettable to becoming the best defensive focused right full back in fhe league He'll play as many matches as he's fit for next season Vardy and Morgan both came into form for the great escapee SIMPSON... theessexfox Posted 28 May 2016 Share Posted 28 May 2016 Simpson was my first instinct, I think Morgan was harshly treated last year and was a solid CB though he has transformed into one of true class and power. I remember a few predicting, myself included (for once) that Drinkwater would step us this year, and he definitely did. I think he had a similarly consistent and dominating season as he did in the Championship 2013/14 but this time against PL players and on the way to winning the top-flight. Simpson's improvement was the biggest jump, for me.

Sionnach gorm Posted 29 May 2016 Share Posted 29 May 2016 I think the whole team improved, strikingly so. For me the two most improved though are DD and Simpson. Morgan stepped it up but was already very good.
Unabomber Posted 29 May 2016 Share Posted 29 May 2016 it is morgan and it isn't even close well maybe vardy. deffo not simpson, I mean he has always been average and then happened to be the average guy in a team full of world class superstars which made his average performances acceptable. foxtillidrop Posted 29 May 2016 Share Posted 29 May 2016 Vardy sticks out for me. He has always been relentless and had incredible attitude and work rate but this season he has been absolutely ice cold in front of goal - takes almost all of his chances now. Hope to see him improve even more next season and hoping Okazaki will improve with it being his second season.
