what a crap tournament

In a tournament of great goalkeepers, and some excellent goalkeeping performances, we had Head & Shoulders Twunt, oiling his gloves before the important moments.

Sigh.

If it wasn't for the underdog stories, this tournament would have had absolutely nothing. Portugal stunk their way to the final, lost Ronaldo and lucky for them France managed to stink up the place even more. 2nd half right through to the end of extra time France looked like they just couldn't be arsed

Belgium's hairstyles.

The worst coiffures of the competition (although Queresma deserves an honourable mention this evening).

I'll be sad to see this sub forum go because we'll still be stuck with all the politics threads in General Chat and that's the real injustice here.

Hal Robson Kanu goal of the tourney you gotta be fvckinf g kidding me. Nobody see shaqiri no?

They've got to be taking the piss with that. If he was Hungarian I don't think it would've made the top eight.

But yeah, very bad tournament really. Have actually quite enjoyed the Portugal celebrations and it's lightened it up a bit but this isn't a tournament anyone will remember fondly. The worst I can remember.

Only good thing about it was wales getting to the semi final not great outstanding player either apart from maybe Ronaldo and griezmann teams just setup so as not to get beat and England were crap as usual which didn't help

The worst in living memory. Probably the worst team to ever win a major tournament as well. Made a mockery of the format which was questionable to start with when a team that would have been out in previous competitions have gone on to win it.

Almost all of the games were shockingly dull and it's been a poor advert for international football. I can't wait to watch Leicester City again.

And on the subject of Leicester, it's further proven that slow build up and possession football is not only boring but out of date in terms of effectiveness. Teams dominating the ball have often struggled against deep defences and well organised sides like Italy, Portugal and Iceland have been able to capitalise with less of the ball whilst Spain, England and to an extent Belgium have faltered with more of it.

Well that's what happens when you put it to a public vote. It shouldn't have even been on the shortlist lol
