Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 5 September 2016 Posted 5 September 2016 Last season I stupidly left it too late to buy a shirt, and now after it sinking in and reflecting on how remarkable last season was, I want one even more. Obviously you can't get one through the club, and ones off ebay all seem to be in the hundreds of pounds, so has anyone bought one from an 'unofficial source', and if so, and recommendations etc...? For example, I have found this one - http://m.bonanzamarket.co.uk/listings/leicester-city-2015-16-home-customise-name-number-soccer-jersey-football-shirt/354720357?goog_pla=1&variation_id=126059340&gpid=173784728461&keyword=&goog_pla=1&pos=1o2&ad_type=pla&gclid=COigs6LU9s4CFcwK0wodfnAGPA - but as with all these things am a little apprehensive when it's from an unofficial source and most likely fake. Though if it's a good fake, better than nothing I guess.
MrSpaM Posted 5 September 2016 Posted 5 September 2016 It's deffo fake I'd take a look at some reviews for that site before ordering anything

Yet, a lot of fakes are actually made in the same factory to the same standards etc - just sold from the factory to another 'unofficial' buyer. The reviews do seem quite good though!

You just have to be careful with fake shirts. I've had a couple of mates buy them for last years shirt and they've all either been too small or had some glaring error on them. I suppose 25 quid isn't too much to gamble on

One thing I notice from that link is that there's no puma logo on the chest...
Jace Posted 5 September 2016 Posted 5 September 2016 No where can you buy a decent 1 been like this since the beginning of 2016, the club ordered a very low number for last season because they thought we were going to be in the Championship and they couldn't order anymore. Its a shame they can't do another deal to manufacture some more with Puma and Genesis their would be so much money to be made. I ruined mine by getting Cambiasso printed on it thinking he would stay

norwichfox Posted 5 September 2016 Posted 5 September 2016 word of warning, I bought an Ali express one, very authentic looking, has that correct patches and logo's , but the lettering quality leaves a lot to be desired. I made the mistake of wearing mine in the car and the seat belt chaffing has damaged the lettering. I tried to iron it back in place, but not very successfully, it's an ornament now.

Ozwin Posted 5 September 2016 Posted 5 September 2016 Can spot the fakes a mile off. They're a completely different shade of blue to the official ones.

Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 5 September 2016 Author Posted 5 September 2016 With all that's been said here, it's clearly not worth it
Jace Posted 5 September 2016 Posted 5 September 2016 Heres how an original compares to 1 of the fakes if anyone wants to see the differences, the quality of them is fine I think the backs of them are even better than the originals

The difference in the colour is quite striking! If the club arranged a new batch and embroidered in 'Premier League Champions' somewhere - lets say around the badge - they'd make a fortune.
UPinCarolina Posted 5 September 2016 Posted 5 September 2016 I ordered 3 fakes from AliExpress - two home, one away. The first was quite bad and I don't wear it anymore. The other two were considerably better - I'll link to them in this post after I can edit the post from a laptop. The color difference between the first and second home was striking. The patches were fine on both, but the coloring of the lapel and puma logos / KP logo on the first was off, while the second looked nearly indistinguishable from the real deal.

I haven't looked to see what is out there for this season's shirt, but having purchased the alternate away shirt at the PSG match, I can say that the material quality isn't too far off /distinguishable on the fakes. The patch and KP logo are superior on the real deal.
Jace Posted 5 September 2016 Posted 5 September 2016 The fakes for this season are pretty good most of them, the only noticeable difference is the badge but I'd rather have a real 1, especially when this will be probably the only ever Premier League Champions shirt we'll ever have I've always been quite a collector when it comes to Leicester shirts. Situation for last season was well annoying for me because I got Cambiasso printed on mine and then he left
