When I was a kid my Mum always used to cook a Steak and Kidney pie on a Saturday and the thought of it makes me queasy, even now.
Webbo Posted 7 September 2016 Posted 7 September 2016 Tomatoes are unsuitable for sandwiches as they slip out out as you take a bite.

Oh, I'm not one of these ethical vegetarians, CF, it's a healthy lifestyle choice. I have absolutely no problem eating meat if necessary, as it sometimes is when I'm travelling.

Countryfox Posted 7 September 2016 Posted 7 September 2016 A lovely wood I wander about in in Northants ..... great place to unwind, watch the world go by ... and get tomorrows breakfast. Plus, fill the freezer with meat and keep the local farmers happy.

Alf Bentley Posted 7 September 2016 Posted 7 September 2016 The old lady who sits two along from me at the football has started handing out Murray mints this season. I'd not tasted a Murray mint since the 1970s - since I was a little lad and my Dad used to take me round to the old lady next door, trying to get me interested in rugby, as she had a TV and we didn't (he failed in this mission). They're surprisingly tasty. Maybe each generation acquires a taste for Murray mints as they turn elderly?
