He scored a brilliant freekick and had the balls to take a crucial penalty, having missed three of the last four. The fact that he stuck it away perfectly demonstrated that it was the correct decision. He's clearly a confidence player, and last night will have done him a world of good. I have no doubt we will see further improvement this weekend.

lyesdays Posted 15 September 2016 Posted 15 September 2016 Any LC fan would hope/like to see Mahrez back in form, that Pen Kick meant plenty of things for him and abviiously for his teamates, I might understand you being angry and cricitize him after a bad performance but I can't get it this time, was about to laugh when I read a post saying he hasn't been dribling everyone. HE CANT DO THAT IF HE HAS TO DEF CAUS THE CLUB LET KANTE GO... Was happy to read some other posts.

He's a right winger playing for Leicester not Barcelona.... he had to defend last year when we had Kante so why wouldn't he have to defend now?

Two thoughts pop up First I think last year Kante was not only regaining ball possession but was good at relancing Mahrez and Vardy to the front Sec Mahrez now seems to be playing more like a 10 not a winger anymore Mate if you let a player like Kante go then you must bring on Makelelee or 2 or Three in the same position.

Don't get me wrong Kante is a massive loss but he's not had any effect on Mahrez game/position... every game I've seen this season he's been a winger, it would be nice to unleash him and give him more freedom but the only way I can see that happening is a change of formation to a 433 but it doesn't look like CR has any plans to do that
