adam Posted 10 September 2016 Posted 10 September 2016 Mahrez is playing at his level, he isnt good enough to play for any of the so called bigger teams. He is useless with two players on him and his attitude looks very poor.

As predicted he is fading away and will probably be sold to Barca in January. He wiil have to accepte a lower wage this time. HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH *pause* HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA Barca, maybe if he left after last season. The way he is playing now MAYBE he can wipe Messis ass?

easilee Posted 10 September 2016 Posted 10 September 2016 mahrez cannot handle the pressure of two men now for some reason
lgfualol Posted 10 September 2016 Posted 10 September 2016 More chance of him going to Stoke. I suppose him burning out shouldn't really be surprising. Last season he was just unreal. Needs dropping though, as much as I love him. It worked last season when he was dropped for Norwich away.
NewEnglandFox Posted 10 September 2016 Posted 10 September 2016 We're been waiting for him to come good for 4 league games now. 5 counting the Community Shield. 7 counting Barca and PSG. It's time for a seat on the bench.

Mark Posted 10 September 2016 Posted 10 September 2016 He's having to do much more tracking back now Kante isn't around to mop up, that would effect any winger.

foxes_rule1978 Posted 10 September 2016 Posted 10 September 2016 Did we make a secret swap with Chelsea, hazard for Mahrez ?

fuchsntf Posted 10 September 2016 Posted 10 September 2016 Maybe we have forgot, how to be fearless..!! Claudio should think about forgetting the defence, and just attack. Return to the antics of the beginning of last season. I dont want to jump the gun, but it could be that the ladt 3 seasons without a break, is telling on Morgan. The full season and a summer tournament, might of been also too much for the older Fuchs. The side looks like it needs fresh legs, and now a 3 man midfield at least. That means one less Wingback and DD, Mendy, Armatey playing closer. Dont start getting at the individual players. After last season new boys from within and new buys need time. We are not at Man.citys level in . quality of squad, and our owners were never going to spend 100mil+. Al l players look bad, when chasing past form, and newbies have nothing to fall back on, and support their needed time for integration, if old guard are not performing. Claudio has to get the squad to refind their mojo... Make no mistake our squad were knackered phyically and more mentallity, after giving their all to grind out their whole potentiall to confirm the title. Just maybe Claudio might need to give the youngsters now their futures in more games. The spirit may well still be there and willing but it could be the body might need 3-4 months, before it clicks again... Play Mahrez in the 1st CL, but bench time might help him to refind his mental strength and his dribbling skills, after a couple of planned PL pauses. whatever its far too early to forsake the lads, and even your own dreams. Now coaches and Claudio have to earn their bread..

mattsmith74 Posted 10 September 2016 Posted 10 September 2016 Based on his performances only 4 games ago, Mahrez is PFA Player of the Year. If he's still performing this way at the end of the month then we should be worried. My concern is defensively we were a shambles. Morgan and Fuchs both caught badly out of position for first two goals. We didn't see the usual graft from forward two either. It wasn't ever going to be easy this year. If teams have worked us out then Claudio has to find a new plan. I reckon that the small matter of the fact he made us Chamipons means he might just be able to.
Thracian Posted 10 September 2016 Posted 10 September 2016 1 hour ago, easilee said: mahrez cannot handle the pressure of two men now for some reason Being fair it's hard for Mahrez to show his best with only one attacking support player or any note. Even today he laid the perfect chance on for Vardy (1v1 saved) so the bloke wasn't completely inconsequencial. However, there's a downside with Mahrez especially when we're under pressure like today. He's no defender and, without a single genuinely defensive central midfielder we looked ridiculously vulnerable under pressure and Klopp knew it. Even if it means changing our system we have to get more balance, pace and flexibility in our team. The fear factor is much diminished right now.

No we spent three quarters of the season at the bottom of the league playing 4-4-2. It was only when we changed to three centre backs, wing backs and three in central midfield, which in turn gave Cambiasso the legs around him, to let him express himself, run the games, and show us just how good he was, that we turned things around.
Vardinio'sCat Posted 10 September 2016 Posted 10 September 2016 I think missing is harsh, he looked a bit sharper today to me. Ok, but not great. Still not gliding past people like they aren't there, but better than the last few games. The whole team has only turned up for 2 out of 4 games, so I'm not going to stick the boot in just yet. Give it another couple poor performances an I might reconsider tho...
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 September 2016 Posted 10 September 2016 Said this after the Swansea game. If you didn't know that Mahrez was Mahrez (if he'd just signed and was making his home debut), you'd think 'why the Hell have we signed him?' Seriously, he's been that bad. The problem is clear for anyone willing to see. He's a marked man and doesn't know how to adapt his game to overcome this. Yet. I'm hoping he does with time. The stark reality is however, since the start of the season he's been absolutely fookin awful and if he had been bought for 40 mill and continued to play like this, we'd all be rubbing our hands in glee.

Absolutely spot on sir.
Munshi Posted 10 September 2016 Posted 10 September 2016 Bad patch so let's all make the skillful flair player the scapegoat. Mahrez wasn't the only shit player today and wasn't the only shit player at Hull. Yeah maybe he isn't taking on 4 players and sticking it in the top corner but neither was Drinkwater making his passes today, Morgan and Huth were dreadful. A lot of our fans cannot handle having a player of this quality at our club.

We're also missing Mahrez, the bloke who's replaced him this year wearing his shirt is dogshit. Mahrez is going formissing us, it goes hand in hand, Always said he's the most overrated player we have

Manwell Pablo Posted 11 September 2016 Posted 11 September 2016 The only thing we are badly missing is perspective. One swallow does not make a summer, nor does it deliver multiple major trophies. You should all be grateful this particular swallow flew at the right time and with the right flight and delivered the impossible. Fight night has resulted in copus amounts of alcohol so prolly about as loaded as kitch is most Monday's at 1.30pm but get a grip lads. We ain't winning shit this year, Riyadh Mahrez is worth roughly half what you think he is, and our first target is 40 points. Liverpool away, hard ****ing fixture, it's not 15/16 anymore.
