I'm convinced if they bought Kante they would have won the league last year. also a HUGE mistake not putting £20 on Leicester at 5000-1 last year.

It wasn't hindsight to know we needed a centre back... we didn't sign anyone, Keane was linked with us a lot and it is a shame we didn't get him.

I don't think new CBs was as clearly a pressing issue in the summer as it is now. With hindsight we can say they had all the protection in the world from Kante and seem to have aged 10 years over the summer, but at the end of last season they were in the prime of their lives and keeping endless clean sheets. Also we did get a highly rated CB, Hernandez from the La Liga TOTY.

In the summer I was very worried by both our midfield and defence. The pre-season highlighted those concerns to me too. I don't think you needed any kind of magical hindsight to see that... a lot on here were concerned and are being proven right

How do you know he didn't want to come plus that is just a silly comparison! we needed a competent defender it isn't hard to see why whether that was Keane or someone else
