Runs

Maybe it's just me, but in the last few years we seem to be going on more consistent runs of either very good or very bad form than other teams. We have just lost five on the trot (or is it six?) and are on a shocking run of not scoring. Last season we had the obvious unbeaten runs and Vardy's streak, but also the 1-0's and those early games of conceding in every match until the pizza offer. Previous season we had the awful run of results followed by the end of season burst for the Great Escape. In the Championship and even back in L1 we had some very good runs (I think we equalled or beat our longest winning run at one point), but I recall a couple of shocking dips in form under Pearson.

So what am I trying to say? I don't know, but it makes a change from worrying about our manager or relegation. Damn, now I'm thinking about that again...

We don't do the dull win one, lose one, draw one do we.

All or nothing for us.

Certainly don't!..

It's just,  lose one, lose one,  lose one,  lose one,  lose one,  lose one........

Ever since the new owners have taken over, we haven't had a dull season.

2010/11 - Losing run under Paulo Sousa followed by big spending Sven and nearly making the playoffs.

2011/12 - Sven saga followed by the return of Nige

2012/13 - Going for automatic, ending up in the play offs on the last day after an awful run and that Watford game

2013/14 - Champions.

2014/15 - The greatest escape ever

2015/16 - The greatest sporting story ever

We are probably the most interesting club in the world over recent seasons imo.

Pearson had two terrible runs of form which seemed very tough to get out of. once in the championship and once in the prem. Claudio has now suffered the same fate. I don't think it's so unusual for a team to have a long run of poor form but given that the other side of the coin with us is of a sustained league winning nature, it does seem very odd. Feast or famine!
