Captain... Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 The weather will inevitably conspire to ruin this game. New Zealand should come out firing and try and get ahead of the DL. It is always harsh on the team batting second.
HybridFox Posted 6 June 2017 Posted 6 June 2017 Doesn't fill me with confidence seeing Ronchi go for 0 when he's signing for Leics this summer but way to go for England. The start they needed!
StanSP Posted 7 June 2017 Posted 7 June 2017 De Villiers out for a duck first ball . Not having a good tournament...
Brainy Posted 8 June 2017 Posted 8 June 2017 Amusing how this and the Pakistan game is being seen as a shock I know both sides aren't what they used to be but Pakistan can beat anybody on their day, Sri Lanka too.
Osavo Posted 8 June 2017 Posted 8 June 2017 Wow, Group B is wide open. Two winner takes all games which will both be absolute crackers.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka are good, but across the board they're not as good (on paper) as South Africa (world number 1) and India (world number 3). Hence, 'shock'.

This is why I love the Champions Trophy. Only the best 8 sides in the world makes for high quality cricket.

Brainy Posted 10 June 2017 Posted 10 June 2017 Changed my mind, he deserves to be dropped on that review alone
Osavo Posted 10 June 2017 Posted 10 June 2017 Review was awful, was clear he was absolutely plum. Time to give Bairstow a go.
Swarles Barkley Posted 10 June 2017 Posted 10 June 2017 Dotn understand keeping Roy in the team. Hes way out of nick and Bairstow is just on top form right now. Also, all this talk about changing the order and bairstow aint played as opener. Why cant we push moeen to open and slot bairstow in at 6(if wickets fall early) or 7 if we're cruising. Seems the logical option to me
Swarles Barkley Posted 11 June 2017 Posted 11 June 2017 you have good innings, you can have bad innings and then you have an absolute horror show like SA just did.

StanSP Posted 11 June 2017 Posted 11 June 2017 that's all my cricket matches done for the tournament . Never expected this game against SA to be the easiest of them all Thought our bowlers were superb. Obviously SA didn't help themselves with their embarrassing run-outs but we controlled the game throughout. Heading for an England vs India final...

leicsmac Posted 12 June 2017 Posted 12 June 2017 Ugh. Know I've said it before and know the ICC have said it's fine, but I absolutely CANNOT stand Malingas bowling action. Always going to be a chuck to me. Irrational, I know. But ugh.
StanSP Posted 12 June 2017 Posted 12 June 2017 another one of those run-outs where the batsman hits it down the ground, bowler gets a hand to it, hits the wicket and the non-striker doesn't have his bat on the ground. Unfortunate as the bat was mere centimetres from the ground
