Wymsey Posted 11 May 2017 Share Posted 11 May 2017 We should have sold Ulloa in January. Made an unhappy player leave for his own wish. Mahrez can go for £40m+, but the club could think about 'impriving' his contract if that's what he's wanting in some ways. But should keep Slimani, he's just got back from a niggling injury and it'll only be a matter of time before he's back to his best again imo. st albans fox Posted 11 May 2017 Share Posted 11 May 2017 conspiracy theory - all this speculation is encouraged by the board to keep our profile as 'out there as possible'. generally, no publicity is bad publicity

If the worst case scenario does happen we would the first team of our type to be broken up. Teams who qualified for CL finals like Ajax,Porto, Dortmund all were broken up but they were clubs from other European Leagues. A team in England is perhaps more likely to stay together due to greater finances. The club I imagine is all too aware of Kasper, Vardy, Mahrez moving on but in the former the age of both means it has to happen whether they stay or not. The nurturing of talent looks really good right now so there still looks to be something in place for when it does start to be dismantled.

Albert Posted 11 May 2017 Share Posted 11 May 2017 Think the owners would seriously consider cashing in on Riyad if the right offer came in for him but it'd have to be around the £50m mark and only to a European club. No chance they'd let him go to an English club. If United sell De Gea to Madrid which is pretty much a done deal from what I've heard and they came in for Kasper, he'll be off. Personally don't see it as Mourinho likes big, dominant & commanding keepers but if it did happen we'd get big money for him due to the contract we've signed him down to. Can see us cutting our losses with Musa also but everyone else will stay. Itll be an interesting summer! Lots of money in the bank and a squad that needs an overhaul
