volpeazzurro Posted 14 May 2017 Posted 14 May 2017 Well worth the read and heartwarming after all the crap from pundits and yes, the trolls. Like fans from all teams, certain things in the media get to us, which is probably why some of them write it. Things like 'they only won because the rest of the teams were poor' ...really? Or was it jealousy by people like Caragher and Gerrard, that, as good as they were, they never experienced that and, for all the love of their own devoted fans, they would never of had half the world of genuine football fans willing them over the line! The majority of the pundits who regurgitate the same predictable drivel every week got shafted big time, such was their superior knowledge. It's good to know that when you do support your players like against Liverpool that they actually do hear and it can have an effect! If and when any of our players like Kante, Marhez and Schmeichel choose to move on, I don't think that they'll ever experience the quality of the adulation they will have received at Leicester.

simFox Posted 14 May 2017 Posted 14 May 2017 He writes well for a footballer, someone should get him a job at the mercury when he retires.

Wolfox Posted 14 May 2017 Posted 14 May 2017 I think someone posted it elsewhere…. But, enjoyed reading it again! clearly a bright bloke

brucey Posted 14 May 2017 Posted 14 May 2017 Quote The first was midway through the first half, when I made a tackle on the byline, right next to the fans. I don’t know what came over me. It wasn’t even a hard tackle. I just stuck my foot out to fish for the ball and it ricocheted off the Liverpool player and went out for a throw-in. But I turned to the crowd and … bloody hell … I just let out a roar. And they roared right back. They went crazy. Just re-watched the first half of the Liverpool game to find this bit. https://streamable.com/v6ftk

Perhaps the best in all my years supporting Leicester. Fuchs strikes me as a terrific guy and the sort who'd have been a success whatever he did. When people talk about coming from abroad and "fitting in" it's hard to think of a better example than Fuchs. He seemed to belong from the day he arrived and has been a credit to himself and our club in every way. Can't think of a single game - good or not so good - when he didn't give his all.
