Yeah it would be great if you were capable of debate, but you trot out the same things every time. You bang on about a bus ffs despite there being 18 months of stuff since. And all that happens is the other side brings up the Treasury's blatant lies based on what it knew to be flawed-modelling. When's the cut-off date for "stuff" that we're allowed to talk about?

Sorry Strokes, the bus was 'stuff' that happened 18 months ago. The newly enthroned Thread Furher Kopfkino won't take kindly to references of things that happened that long ago. Interestingly though, your plan chimes with a book I've been reading recently about automaton and AI. It says that if and when it creates a class of people for whom the economic system has no use (cos AI is doing 90% of the jobs), the ruling classes will need to make a decision on whether they choose to pay for healthcare, education etc for the masses. These people will be literally "useless". So why would the rich continue to fork out to pay for them? Would they just let them just starve on the streets? So you might not be too far from the truth. 1

If only Dumbledore had sought Ron Weasley's advice, Harry Potter's name may never have been cast into the Goblet of Fire.

A bit like they do in utopia/sweden. As it happens I can tell you for a fact that the private firms actually don't want to run the hospitals. I can't say which company but I have close links to directors within a large private healthcare company that has several hospitals and the profit margin isn't enough for them to want to run on NHS funding. It's pure right wing hubris that claims otherwise. The current arrangements mean that private firms would be treated on an equal footing with NHS hospitals should they wish to bid to run acute services - but they don't.

I like it. I think it'd be Fadenfuhrer Kopfkino, if you wanted to do it properly. I'm not sure what thread in internet terms is, I guess the Germans might refer to it differently.

It's genuinely laughable that remainers still bang on about a campaign they lost 18 months ago. Tbf that's kind of the nature of politics when controversial, far from unanimous decisions happen. Had the numbers fallen in the opposite favour we'd still be seeing people quote Nigel Farage banging on about technocrats rigging the system against Britain and demanding a second referendum because the result wasn't conclusive enough... 1

Guest Posted 6 December 2017 Posted 6 December 2017 After telling parliament previously that the government were carrying out impact assessments actor by sector in excrutiating detail, David Davis has just admitted to a select committee that no such assessments have been carried out. Not only is this absurd, but Davis now has to be up for contempt of parliament. The man's a joke.
