He's one of only two characters in Boardwalk Empire who is almost entirely likeable just for being a good (sorta) human being. He's also an absolute badass. There are characters in Boardwalk that you love because they're charming or funny or are just fantastic anti-heroes but they're by and large all awful people. I mean, nearly everyone in it is a gangster or criminal of some kind. Richard Harrow and Eddie Kessler are two of the few male characters in the series to just be honestly good hearted folk with more innocence than malice. One of my favourite TV characters ever.
