Liverpool v City Scoreline Prediction

All our recent games with them have been close so I expect this one to be the same. My one worry is all the games we've played taking it's toll on the players.

I have a suspicion that Slimani might play today or at least get a second half.I'd also try Amartey at CB with Morgan playing RB. This would at least give us more pace in the middle of defense while Morgan has covered RB when Simpson goes forward and always does ok.  I do hope we've sorted out the set play errors and Kasper stops flapping at crosses and free kicks.

 

Liverpool are obvious favorites  but we all know football doesn't work like that..

3-1 Liverpool. Morgan for us with the last kick (header) of the game. Just think their attacking threat will be too much.

we got battered at anfield last year and 4-1 made it look a lot closer than it actually was. they will batter us again. as for starting morgan as a full back up against the switching salah, coutinho and probably mane, well i don't think that is going to make this game any closer.

With recent poor defensive performances and kasper looking wobbly I really fear for us against the leagues most ferocious attacking force but I’m hopeful we’ll be suprised again by a more resolute challenge by our foxes.  Going for a 1-1 scoreline which is exactly what no one expects.  Balls to the wall defending hold it tight and Vardy for once is clinical with his one or two chances in the entire game.  Need some luck too with Liverpool misfiring:)

Fair point and we're likely to get slaughtered again,  So what do we do to change things. We are expected to lose so why not try something different. By playing Amartey at CB his reported favorite position then we might learn something about him. If it's not working then just swap over with Morgan.

Salah and Mane prefer coming in from the right but can pop up anywhere which is why I think we need more pace in the center of Defense.

Morgan is going to be in trouble wherever he plays with the pace they have. But against Courtino he might bustle him off his game. No matter how we go about it it's going to be difficult.
