Peul seems to believe his own ht talks. .... that must be why he doesnt sub till it's too late.   Believing they will heed his words despite what his eyes tell him

why stick with a player that cannot cope with the style of football? Amartey will be fit in a couple of weeks so Albrighton playing is a stop gap and who knows he may adapt there really well, like I said I want him to show courage and commitment to the new style in what are essentially dead rubbers for us

Because Albrighton when on form is actually the best LW we have and it makes little sense to play him out of position since Gray didn't step up. 7th place is still on and we have some favorable fixtures in the next weeks.

Mahrez wasn't great yesterday and couldn't really pull something out of his hat but he still can do without Simpson's support. I expect him to have a better game against Brighton and Newcastle.

He should  get games when he demonstrates he has taken on board the learnings he needs.  Not before.  Or he wont bother.  Tough..but the only way

Nb mark a played well yesterday. .. . But we need to decide what we do to break defences down.   Right now we have no idea

He had more than one chance and never impressed. He can't claim a starter's place and Diabaté is breathing hard down his neck.

he's the best left winger we have because in part he's the only one we ever give more than 2 games in a row too and his form on the left wing has been crap, he has been most effective when switched to RIGHT BACK when we are chasing a game and he can attack down his natural side, all he does on the left is get to the 18 yard box and float in a tame cross, on the right they look dangerous.

getting a chance doesn't mean starting a game out of the blue, it means a consistent run of game in the same position, he hasn't come on in the same position twice in the last few appearences he's had

Funny because if we sack Puel and start doing long balls the same people that complain about boring Puel will complain we can't keep possession.

We can't sit back and counter anymore. It's done. I don't ever want to go back to having 20% possession and just booting it for Vardy to chase every game.

I think Puel will have a couple of successful seasons, depending on if we don't **** up the Summer as usual. I.E WAITING UNTIL THE LAST DAYS TO GET PLAYERS FOR ESSENTIAL POSITIONS.

100%

Towards the end of Shakespeare tenure I got totally bored of our anti football. I got bored of watching us hsve 35% possession at home to the likes of Southampton and Everton and just booting it up to Vardy.  I don't want to go back to that.

That couldnt work yesterday when mahrez was up against asta thingy

I know that much and it's a shame. The problem is that Gray isn't good enough atm.

You mean when he gave away the pen? He clearly was uncomfortable there. It was an emegency because Puel decided to let Simpson at home and I doubt it will ever happen again.

He had his run as soon as Puel came in charge and Albrighton was dropped right away. He played well then faded away and got rightly dropped.

Right now he fails to make good impression as a sub he won't get a starting place. That's how it works.

He wasn't on his day and the opponent took a particular care of him. Kanté especially.

he was playing wing back that game we moved Fuchs to a 3rd cb, giving penalties away is a hazard of being a defender, if Antonio Valencia can turn himself into a rb then Marc Albrighton can, and I'm not saying it's a defensive decision its an attacking one, Puel wants an attacking full back, so our choice is a defender who is useless in attack or a winger that's limited in defence, thake the gamble and go out to win games, we have nothing to lose so can be aggressive in team selection

Albrighton was dropped for Chilwell we were playing Mahrez at 10 Gray right wing Chilwell left, the interchanging of Gray and Mahrez was very promising but Mahrez hates playing at 10 so it was dropped

It was a needless challenge, he should just have herded him away and I wouldn't go as far as comparing Valencia with Albrighton. Your gamble is unjustified at the moment since we have no decent replacement to Albrighton on the wing. If any, I'd rather put Diabaté there than Gray.

Huh, no? Fuchs was dropped for Chilwell. Gray slotted in right for Albrighton as they play in the same Position.

I don't know where you got that Mahrez hates playing at 10, he's just not good there. He drifts inside from the right wing but he's no 10. Why don't you just admit that Gray hasn't been good enough and lost his place? He's currently not a starter wether you like it or not.

Personal for me his a bit negative, passive, and the team is starting to reflect that in its style!

However he's done enough to warrant having time to shape the squad to suit he's style. However there seems to be a bit of blind faith, he's done similar to Shakespeare and I can see us finishing the season 8th or 9th.

I wouldn't have given CS the job last summer and I have a similar feeling with CP, however that's not a great deal of other options on offer!

Everyone can see that we need better fullbacks, with better quality on the ball!

We are crying out for creative in the middle of the park!

It's a massive summer, however it will not be easy to work in the market during a world cup year.

CP has it all to do, hopefully he proves himself upto the task.

go back and look at the team Vs Everton and Puel's first few games Chilwell was playing left wing in front of Fuchs, he didn't move to left back for a few games Diabate has done nothing since his debut against a league 1 side to put him ahead of Gray other than just not being Demarai Gray

Agree, the problem for me is that Okazaki is largely ineffective, though he gets lucky sometimes. I've been watching him and it seems to me that, although he works damn hard and is willing team player, he is always that second or two late in where he needs to be. Whether he has no sense of anticipation, his mind is elsewhere or it is just too slow I wouldn't know, but he is not a starter for me and I'd prefer to see him let go.

Shinji is a catalyst.... strange but true

(It might be it allows vardy to push up..or that he comes short abd flicks tge ball on...  but he makes us play)

Diabate runs at the defense ...into the box... they look terrified.

Let's see who becomes the better player. ..

when Gray does it them do as well, but people moaned Gray was trying to do too much on his own yet when he stopped doing that he got slated for "doing nothing"
