Made a career out of finding Vardy, Mahrez and Kantè. Everyone knows the mess we made of the transfer window after we won the league and things haven't been much better at Everton. Macia and Rudkin on the whole have done a good job, singing N'Didi (even though he may have been under the radar with Walsh), Iborra, Maguire and even Silva doesn't look a half bad player.

Albrighton, Fuchs and Huth were all Walsh signings who cost us virtually nothing.

In terms of value for money, possibly 3 of the finest signings in the history of this club!

Pearson liked us to be organised at the back and to play hoof ball. (I expect other views are available but thats mine)

When he had tried all elese and we were dooned the team foud resukts by counter attacking.... i am not sure who it camefrom but it was never a np option)

I wonder if any of them would ever play counter attacking football again

.......was not counter attacking.

High Tempo and pressed high. Went to 3 at the back and pressed the opposition.

And whilst Kante was a 'find' for those of us in the UK, he was on the radar for French clubs. If we hadn't have signed him he could well have gone to Marseille.

...... we were the only option with an offer on the table. He wanted to stay in France and the deal he was waiting for did not happen. He chose Leicester and the rest is history...!!

I think  this sums it up best,  whilst they we’re here Pearson, Walsh and Shaky were brilliant some would same the dream team  but they have done nothing of note individual since leaving

Thats why Take That ended up reforming.

Both our statements are compatible.

My point was that French clubs were aware of Kante and we didn't pluck him from quite the obscurity that is sometimes suggested.

He'd also made the most tackles in Europe's top 5 leagues in the previous season, however Walsh ensured we basically held Kante hostage in a hotel to get him to sign, he wasn't a complete unknown but there's still a lot to be done when recruiting a player and Walsh did his utmost.
