The club asked him to start looking for a house local. His reply was he wanted to live in London but would not commit as he wanted to see if he got better offers in the summer. That's when he got dropped.

If we really do want him to stay then playing him and effectively putting him in the shop window would certainly ensure he gets those better offers. A strange conspiracy theory I’ll admit ............

Why play a loan player that's said he won't sign if he gets a better offer. How I understand it if we could have sent him packing we would have.

To be fair to him, he didn’t get a chance at CB until wes got injured. I’m sure he felt he was entitled to a chance before then.

im not surprised that he had decided he fancied looking around a bit. maybe his wife decided she wanted to stay in London.

To not be selcting him now says we have have no intention of ditching Morgan in the summer. Otherwise it makes no difference not to be playing someone who won’t be here next year if both are going. Of course dropping the popular captain for a loanee who says they want a better offer from elsewhere might be counter productive re dressing room morale.

I have this concern too. I think we will be starting with Wes next season

Why did we ask Dragovic to look for a house locally but let players like Schmeichel, Huth, James, Drinkwater all commute from the Manchester area?

Also, why ask him to look for a house when he hasn't signed a permanent deal with us. Surely that comes after he has signed up for 3-4 years!

i'm with Drago on this one. He also probably isn't that keen to stay if we aren't going to ever play him. He's a decent international player ffs.

Must start on Thurs!

Easy Puel was not here when we signed the others. The club now want new players within an hour of the ground/Training.

So Schmeichel & James are having to relocate?

Presumably the 'old guard' has been 'grandfathered' in.

I think a lot of people are discounting how opposition play against us too. That’s irrelevant to the changing of styles.

We are a respected team now. Viewed by the rest of the league as top 10 with two players no team outside the top six can boast about. Therefore teams are literally come here playing very deep and denying the space behind for Vardy to run into.

For all the bad results against the lower half sides, I’d say only Palace and Newcastle showed some true intent in attacking the game. The rest literally got a goal (concentrating on the defensive inefficiencies) and then go behind the ball.

Its the transitional period and it needs needs to be freshened up. Someone has to take control of that - if ain’t a manager anytime soon, it has to be shitbag Rudkin.

Ive already nailed my colours to the mast on this one.

My thoughts are that this squad is one that contains an "old" element of Leicester, mixed with a more technical group that I believe have already shown in patches, that they are suitable for a new direction for the club.

People do mention about going back to what we know best, which is more direct play. But we have seen that this is becoming less and less effective. Shakespeare was trying to play more direct football and it simply wasnt working well. For us to adopt this style and make it a success in the long term, i dont see a manager who could do this.

I also think next season, if we did go down this route, you would have people moaning just the same that we were playing a poor style, and i dont trust the medium term future of building the club around signing these types of players.

I also think its short sighted to build our style of play around suiting current players that almost certainly must be binned. Whether they won a league title or not, the game moves on and they are not suitable for us now. End of story. Nothing changes the fact that they arent legends because they are, but they have all shown their ineffectiveness this season, Morgan has been riddled with mistakes, Simpson is simply not a good enough modern full back. Its all been said before.

I think the long term sustainability has to be built around what Puel is trying to do, and this in turn will allow new signings and our better, more technical players like Iborra, Silva, Ihaenacho, Maguire, even Chilwell develop in the side.

Any new manager is going to face exactly the situation Puel is facing. Its very easy to think swapping the manager will be a cure for everything but we know it wont, and if we keep looking backwards to an ineffective style, how are we going to make this a basis for the long term?

So im very much Puel in, and yeah, ill have a few people quoting me, telling me what a moron i am etc etc. Its fine.

I will not make any judgements on Puel until he has his squad in place, a pre-season under his belt and his style of play bedded in.

If he doesnt make it to that stage, ill back whoever the new man is, who will have to do exactly the same. And at some point, everyone will have to accept someone needs time to change things, or we will go down whilst blaming an inability to play exactly like a title winning team.

I agree with this and I do think that the argument that Puel is dull and boring may be quite flawed. I say that because unless someone else has first hand personal knowledge of him, the only time he's seen is on TV or heard on the radio after a game. Bearing in mind English isn't his first language, in this politically correct time we live in combined with a media that is ready to leap on and distort any comments he may mistakenly make, I would suggest he and a number of other managers are very guarded in what they say. It's very noticeable that he reuses a number of words or stock phrases. I do similar in my job to the public to portray a certain corporate image but speak totally differently and more confidently to work colleagues. Either way I get paid to do my job and follow the orders of my boss. So are our players! The chances are that they, like us on here,  have differing opinions on how things should be done. Puel, or any other manager in consequence of that is bound to upset a few but there can only be one boss notwithstanding that a good boss will always listen to his staff. If any of our players are unwilling or unable to rise to new challenges then it's time for them to move on I believe.

Out of interest, what’s the crack with Fuchs? He spends half of his week in London or New York. Might as well pay him up in June.

It's another thing Puel has brought in, and the players don't like it.

Don’t post something if you don’t want someone asking you a couple of questions about it.

Was it not a little obvious as we are on our fourth manager since your list of players signed that the rules may have changed.

Was it not a little obvious that as players are now being told to live local that it may be puel.

But no ask sarcastic questions.

You have a real attitude in your responses on here,

not everyone is ‘itk’ as you claim to be so

folk are going to want you to elaborate on your statements

The rules might have changed so I was asking if players who live further than an hour have been asked to move also.

You can’t have different rules for different players. You can’t tell Dragovic he has to live within an hour of the ground but other team members can live where they want as they have been here longer.

Well done on acting like a spoilt child and throwing your toys out the pram anyway:

I don't claim to be ITK I get some small bits of info I pass on. But as I've said I won't be now.

Its not different rules its contracts you could not force a player thats signed a contract before the rule change to move.
