Jakupovic 7 Couple of good saves, solid, consistent distribution; why was he behind Hamer?

Simpson 5 A bit shaky, maybe not fully fit?

Morgan 6 Sound enough, better than recently

Maguire 7 Solid (+1 for shimmying run down wing)

Fuchs 6 Worked hard; a few good crosses

Choudhury 8 MOM - a real step up in confidence/performance - countless tackles, good anticipation/positioning, some quality passing

Silva 8 (9 first half; 7 second) - inspired 1st half; passes with vision & precision, pulling all the strings

Mahrez 6 - great finish for goal, too much selfish dribbling at times

Diabaté 7 - good penetration, great leap for 1st goal & s surprisingly good in air, inconsistent decision-making

Iheanacho 7 - looked a threat, good link work; still think playing him as 2nd striker/AMC unbalances midfield v. less open teams with 11 men

Vardy 6 - worked hard & got in game more, not quite at best, but confident penalty

Subs N/A - No major impact

Arse 5 - Creative, dangerous attack but gave us too much space

Ref 4 - Dubious penalty, inconsistent yellows

Puel 8, "Go" :dunno: - Got a transformed performance out of them, but why has it taken 2-3 months?!?!

Hamza played his heart out after Saturday’s debacle but only pipped to MOTM by Jakupovic and I can’t believe he hasn’t had more starts...

Simpson 5 the only poor player on the pitch for ur us with 6s &7s for the rest. Arsenal were pretty poor compared to the last 23 games against us. Must say the Ref was very good, letting the game flow and not booking players for every challenge, although the Arsenal number 7 should have seen red for constant nasty fouls. Not sure if this was enough to save Puel, maybe a win on Sunday maybe....

Unable to use the drop down tabs for opposition and Ref performances so cannot complete survey :(

I had problems on my mobile at one time with those menus but could just type in the numbers and it worked! :)

Jakupovic 7 nice and solid…. Stops were competent

Simpson 6 did nothing too much wrong

Morgan 6 Fine

Maguire 8 - loved some of his passing coming out…. Launched a beauty into Mahrez cross field in the second half

Fuchs 8 - had a very good game on the left…. Lots of energy and quality

Choudhury 8.5 - finest game I a city shirt and was more progressive than normal…. I am getting more confident in his potential and fair play to Puel for playing him

Silva 8 …. I like him and he’s setting in very well…. Always tries to be positive  in possession and gets stuck in

Mahrez 7.5 - best he’s been for a long while…. so sad that it’s last time i’ll see him in a city shirt :-(

Diabaté 6 - he has talent, but, it just didnt go for him yesterday more miss than hit

Iheanacho 7.5 - high impact first half and faded the second…. Looking better

Vardy 7 - Vardy did what Vardy does…. Level with Sterling on 18 (I have a £50 bet on with a Man City fan)

ref was ace

Arsenal were god awful

Agree with all those scores - except (a big exception!) the 8 for CP. I think half that is about right (4) - to reflect the 50% contribution he made to the teams success (the team choice). The other 50% was down to the players simply deciding they've been 'on strike' for too long now and it was about time they put a shift in.

So when we're shite, it's Puel's fault. When we're good, it's nothing to do with him?

Come on, I'm not Puel's biggest fan but he got a performance out of them when he needed it most.

I didn't say all the problems over the last couple of months were down to Puel - the players are as much, if not more, to blame. What I did try to say, is that the performance against Arsenal, was as much down to the players own decisions to play, as Puel's man management / coaching skills. In other words, I don't think HE, "got a performance out of them", THEY thought they'd earn their pay (which they haven't done much recently). Puel simply picked the team to do that.

When we were good, I think Puel was lucky (or wise enough) to run with a style of play that won us the League. All the problems started when he decided to change formations and tactics. The fact that he didn't see the effects of that change, or persuade the players of his approach, is the reason we have been so bad for 2 months. For that, he should go!

I'm probably still leaning towards the idea that he's not the man to take us forward, but we don't know what's gone on behind the scenes- he could have told them to be more aggressive and direct because Arsenal would leave themselves open. Hopefully he realises that we're at our best playing like that if we keep him on!
