Has anyone got an outdoor pizza oven? I really want one but can’t really work out which ones are decent and for a reasonable price.

I’ve seen you can make your own but considering I can barely change a light bulb that probably isn’t an option.

I’ve got a mate who has one of them and he says it’s really good.

I’m after an outdoor one but some of them are ridiculously expensive.

If you ever want an indoor one, I've got one of these and it's pretty bloody good.

What do people not understand about me wanting to sit in the garden getting wet eating pizza? ?

Looks decent but think if I was going to get an indoor one it would be one like Martyn posted.

Edit- to be fair I’ve just seen the reviews for that and it looks decent.

The one he posted says it is an outdoor one.

Make one, I made a tandoor with clay some bricks and some insulation, works a treat

It is tempting to be fair but not convinced it would be much cheaper than buying one.

Fair enough, my tandoor cost me less then £30 to make.  I got a load of used clay bricks for next to nothing, the clay cost me next to nothing, the insulating material was the most expensive thing, which I brought on eBay.  I clay tandoor equivalent was costing £200

I'm going to have a proper look into it over the weekend as it might be the best option. I presumed clay would be a pain to get hold of and then I read something about mixing it with sand which I cant imagine is easy but if it saves a few hundred quid its worth it.

I have one of these, it’s not bad tbh.

like you I do want a clay pizza oven in the garden but when I bought this I knew I would be moving house within a year so thought I needed something more portable.

Nice, is that one of the ones from Aldi? I nearly got one of them a year or so ago.

I've seen that on the reviews as well but not really what I'm after, does look decent though.

No it’s from amazon, although I seen the one at Aldi about 3 weeks later for half the price and decided with absolutely no proof that I made the right decision.

The reviews of the aldi one weren't great and sounds like it was pretty flimsy.

Tempted to build the base for one tomorrow before the football.

Sweet, keep us updated with how you get on please mate. I’d be really keen to see how you get on, I won’t be doing mine until next summer at the earliest.

Have you got any plans on the design?

I have a couple in the garden - Like you, I was going to build one...but couldn't really be bothered with the expense and hassle.

I have the Uuni, which for a couple of hundred quid is ok - quite small and you have to keep filling up the hop chute which isn't very relaxing when you're trying to have a beer/social.

Most pizza's now go on the Kamado Joe, which can get up to about 450 degrees...cooks this pizza in a couple of minutes and I love it!

I found a link online that gives you a step by step guide... https://www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk/stories/how-to-build-a-wood-fired-pizza-oven/

I’m interested to see how it turns out as well to be fair as I’m utterly shite at DIY.

Just googled the Kamado Joe, bloody hell thays expensive lol.

If I buy one I want to spend at most about £600 but the ones at that price range don’t have any reviews.
