Hi all, apologies if there is already a topic or this kind of stuff isn't allowed but I was wondering if anyone has tried matched betting .

Ive started today and it does seem a little confusing with all your money going in to different betting accounts but at the moment I'm £15 up from my first go, has anyone succeeded with this and would it be recommended for me to carry on doing it? Is it worth the time . I'm using profit accumulator at the moment. Thanks

harry .

It's worth your time for sure, it's a nice little side income although offers aren't as good as they used to be. I was making 1k extra a month for a few months last year with little effort. Just work through the sign ups and it'll soon be second nature and you'll soon pick up how to do other offers, do a bit of arbing and dutching. Personally used Oddsmonkey over PA but I don't think there's much difference, just as long as you have an active community to help you along/alert you to the offers and best ways to do the offers.

Thanks mate, how did you keep up with all your money in different accounts and did you ever panic that you'd lose track of things?

Keep track of all your bets using an excel spreadsheet. I've been doing it for over 2 years and the more you get into it the more money there is to make. I made £1000's on the World Cup alone, £166 on the open at the weekend and over £300 yesterday on low risk casino offers just as a few examples.

I've never used profit accumulator or odds monkey. I started with profit maximiser and run upgraded to their mastermind package. Any questions, let me know.

what sort of betting markets were you betting on to get those sort of returns in the world cup?

I'd love to do matched betting but the times i've looked at it, it seems a lot of work for little returns initially but I have never looked into automated betting though.

Just hit the offers everyday and hit a lot of price boosts which I underlayed. Most offers earn under £10 but you just hit them all everyday and it soon adds up. The beauty of something like profit maximiser is it has a daily calendar with all that days offers and software to ensure you get the best value bets in seconds.

The price boosts were awesome over the WC too and made a huge difference to my winnings.

I used to do it a few years ago but I found once you had done the sign up offers it was hard to make money you needed to put a lot of time in.

I used PA they are good to be honest but a bit pricey I thought.

Bookies are sharp with now and its easy to get banned if you don't bet a lot with them.

I want to start doing it again but obviously I already have accounts open. Any one know who to fool the bookies ? do VPN's work? I might just use the misses bank card and details?!

Gave it a go last year with ProfitAccumulator and made a few hundred (much of which was thanks to getting very lucky with a casino offer lol).

Found it a bit confusing to get to grips with initially, and trying to keep track of everything in spreadsheets after I'd spent the week at work doing a similar thing caused me to lose interest desite the income. Doesn't help that I started in April as the football season ended (2017 so no summer tournaments).

Trying to save for a house deposit now, though, so going to 'convince my partner' to sign up 'himself' and take advantage of the offers once the new football season starts. Will probably give oddsmonkey a go this time around. My partner works weekends so I have time to myself and been getting bored lately, so makes sense to fill it with something productive. Not expecting miracles, but and extra couple grand by the end of the year would be very helpful indeed.

How much time were you putting in a month, Kopf?

I have a few hobbies that take up most of my free time, but if the profits can be as good as you say, it seems well worth it to try and invest in.

Did it back in the early part of the decade - made about £25k all told until I was banned (or "gubbed" in Betting vernacular) from pretty much every account worth having

Offers now nowhere near as good as they used to be, but still should be good for an easy 4 figures at least (with potential for way more if you get into it, and diversify into Casino bonuses). Used to be the case that waiting for something like the Cheltenham Festival would spike the sign up offers, but that rarely happens now (although the festival is still a great money making opportunity if you start learning some of the more advanced techniques for horses like making use of extra E/W places, Freebet if 2nd or 3rd etc etc and understanding where a bet is +EV).

Nah. To begin with it seems a little daunting having money spread all over the place in case you lose track but just keep track of it on a spreadsheet. Tbh, there was a point when because I was relaxed about it all lost track of what was there and then logged in to them all to tally it and it was a nice surprise to see I had 2k just lying around in various bookies. The only problem I had was getting a a new debit card, some of the bookies were annoying about it.

Well it's worth doing all the sign-up offers anyway. Once you've done a couple and are used to it's really easy and quick to do them all and you will make around £1500. That'll pay for a few things. Then you have casino sign-ups which are even quicker to do but not guaranteed to make money (but you should).

After you've done the sign-ups you'll need a bit more time just to get used to the different offers but once you have done it's easy to do. (I haven't done it much for a year so I might be slightly out of date) Weekly bet clubs are an easy 80-100 quid a week. 2Up with PP and Bet365 made up most of my profits because you can go big on them but it's a bit hit and miss(it's not guaranteed). I'd say at this stage, if you have some time on a Saturday morning or Friday evening, you can make a tidy amount on weekends with football and racing offers.

As Rob said above, the WC had lots of offers so easy to make a killing (I was away for most of it otherwise I'd have dipped back in). Aside from that, big race meets have many offers. Royal Ascot, Cheltenham, Aintree, Boxing Day etc.

As I say, there's no reason not to do the sign ups as it's really easy to get the hang of and then really quick to build up some dosh. When you're doing them you'll get a feel for how long it you need to spare and see how much time others spend on it. I don't really know how much time I spent on it because I'm always on my laptop nearly so was just dipping in and out. It's not what it was and bookies are wiser to it but you can still make oodles from it.

I've been doing it for a little over year & I've made £5k so far.  I average about £500 a month.

I don't have a lot of time & the missus hasn't a lot of patience, but I probably manage an hour or so a day & a bit more at the weekend.  I used to stick to markets I knew (football & horses) & avoided the slots - they felt a bit too much like gambling.  There is an element of risk, but it's the slots where I make most of my money.

I still haven't done hardly any of the sign-up offers & only really use about 5 or 6 accounts regularly.

I barely put any time into it & I don't take advantage of most the offers available, but still make a decent enough amount for me.  Just got back from a holiday fully paid for thanks to matched betting.

Oh how I wish I could understand fully how to do the reload offers lol

This thread has inspired me to join the 21st century. Until today I frequented the bookies, a miserable establishment with brain dead cashiers & the Stench of urine. It's matched betting for me now.

This time next year Rodney.......

Been looking into this after it was mentioned in here, wish I'd known a couple of years ago though because it definately seems to have gone past it hayday.

Main issue seems to be bookies banning you, or 'gubbing' for being to obvious in using their sites mainly for their offers and blatantly trying to play the system. I've seen it mentioned that even pulling most of your winnings out too fast or even just winning too often can also have bookies blacklisting someone for making money just like they do. Start up bank is also abit of an issue, it seems sinking 200 in from the off is the way to go and it would be incredibly hard to start up under 50.
