Good to re-listen to that. A much better song than I'd remembered.

 

Some of the lyrics are even more relevant in the Fake News, politics-as-PR & Twitter era than they were in 1978....."Find out for yourself; check before you spread".... "never doubt....ask...moan...search...find....know".

I saw him a couple times. Last time I saw him he did 'Start' second or third song in, it was brilliant.

Yeah it took him a while but he seems finally content with his music from the past, he always does jam and council songs now.  Last time I saw him he did Ghosts, Monday, Start, and Steve Cradock did Man in The Corner shop which is one of my favourite jam songs so was a little disappointed he sang it.

 

I would also recommend seeing From the Jam too.

 

Weller is playing de Montford in November..on the 5th and 6th.  And From The Jam are playing Loughborough Town Hall sept 23rd, and o2 academy Leicester sept 18th.

 

Hopefully things will have returned to 'Normal' by then.
