There are managers who I have felt affection for.  Bloomfield,  was manager when I started supporting),  Wallace (fun but quickly disappointing), O'Neill, Pearson , Ranieri (slightly jealous of Fulham.

Apologies to Allen and Souza fans

I still blame Mandaric for flushing us down the pan to div 1. You can't change managers like he did and expect anything other than relegation.

The only saving grace the mad old fart had was finding Vichai to buy us.

He'd have sold us to anyone who had the dollar. Regardless of their intentions or authenticity.

At first, I actually a bit sorry for 'the Thais' (as known at the time) thinking that mandaric had stitched them.up like a kipper in convincing them we had potential.

A thoroughly enjoyable read. I do hope Nige writes a book, I've never read a book by, or about, a footballer...but I sure would buy and read one by NP.

The Vardy book is a decent read, as is the Muzzy Izzet one to a slightly lesser extent.

I love Pearson and will be eternally appreciative of the work he did here and the memories he left behind.

One of my favourite Pearson moments is still the celebrations after the 0-1 at Turf Moor during the great escape. Tense game where we were perhaps slightly fortunate with the Taylor penalty leading into the counter attack for Vardy's goal but the way he celebrated afterwards in front of the away end showed what it meant to him. What a man.
