fox_up_north Posted 24 February 2019 Posted 24 February 2019 From time to time I follow other leagues and I've been curious about MLS for the last few years, based on their focus on youth and drafting. The Americans really seem to be pushing to expand their league properly using home grown talent and natural growth, rather than big money signings like the Chinese. Jesse Marsch managed Montreal Impact and, crucially, NY Red Bulls. At NYRB he was known for -focusing on youth - attacking flair He did VERY well for 3 years before moving over to Red Bull's German club - RB Leipzig as assistant manager. Again - it's a club/ brand (for those of you who don't know there are SERIOUS contentious issues around Red Bull's ownership of football clubs) known for youth. I'd say he is perhaps the sort of manager we might want to attract. Bundesliga isn't a million miles away from the EPL and he has experience in building to success. Yes, you can say it's in the MLS but Wenger went from Japan to Arsenal.
