Recommended Posts

Where to start. Corrupt civil servants, claims of wrong doing so government approved forensic accounts brought in to look at computer system found P.O. Guilty then sacked. Mediation scheme set up with top government approved QC found against P.O. also sacked. 1st high court case of 4 Judge ruled against P.O. they want him sacked and a retrial. Contracts ruled illegal innocent people imprisoned and lots of taxpayers money being used to try to stop the case.

Hmm sounds like the Tories were involved?

Chairman of the Post Office is Tim Parker ex Tory deputy mayor of London under Boris Johnson. He is also chairman of Her Majesty's Court & Tribunal Services not that it would give him any conflicts of interest. Politically the biggest critic and go to expert on the Post Office is Lord James Arbuthnot a Tory peer who has called the Post Office the most duplicitous organisation he has ever dealt with. He was so outraged he actually helped source the city backers for the claimants. Ex PO CEO was Paula Vennells who left  the company on the day the draft verdict was received. It was revealed she had asked her underlings prior to a Parliamentary select committee hearing how to answer a question on remote access to the computer systems was not possible after being made aware remote access was and had taken place something denied before this committee and numerous courts of the lands while under oath and during a Panorama investigation. Vennells was appointed a non executive Director of .Gov to advise government about Brexit as a reward for her time at the PO. There are 35 criminal case reviews pending a decision from the useless Criminal case review border. In the morning session before the afternoon bid to remove the judge it was admitted under oath Fujitsu engineers had remotely accessed Postmasters computer terminals using Postmasters own "People have gone to prison been bankrupted, financially ruined and in cases  committed suicide over their convictions while pleading innocence.  The Post Office has also had to repay over £2.5 million in their legal fees that they had illegally used EU grant funding money for that was meant for network re-invention.

I wasn't directing at you btw. Just based on my own experience of dealing with people in the PO over the years (I'd say the customer service is generally worse there than other places I use, but it's obviously only anecdotal)

But, back to the point - if I'm understanding it correctly - the new software has caused financial anomalies which has caused the PO to accuse staff of being on the fiddle?

Nice summing up, current court costs apparently around £25 million. no denying who is guilty but are prepared to waste taxpayers money until the claimants funds run out. They have also had to admit under oath individuals computers were logged into remotely and figures altered, something denied under oath and a reason some people were sent to prison.
