Not the best draw we could have had, but we still have a chance of getting through.

A quote off a bolton message board....

Leicester at home

in the Carling Cup.

A good draw. Sam will be able to field 5 or 6 fringe players and expect to get through.

Remember what happened to Charlton when they under-estimated us :yesyes::clap::scarf::cheers::dance:

i feel its a winnable kind of tie. be very nice in deed if it was on sky cus leicester havent been on since first day of the season :(. i'm thinking we shud play the 4-5-1 that beat charlton but that might be a bit obvious. hopefully arsenal get knocked out day before so then we can play smith on the left :) that wud increase our chances :). i was actually gonna put money on the charlton game when we beat them but i was busy that day so i'll make shore i'll put a few quid on us to win at bolton.

What a miserable draw.

Away in dourest Lancashire.

I remember the Blackburn cup game cos if anything was designed to put me off watching football in general and Leicester in particular for life it was that.

As a recipe for entertainment it was like school semolina. Colourless, tasteless and it looked horrible.

Worse still it was on television. As an advert for watching Leicester City it was like promoting Sellafield as a family holiday resort. Barely a shot, very few attacks and tactics which belonged in the definitive guide to withstanding a seige.

I cannot imagine Levein employing anything different to the tactics used at Cardiff for this one.

Apart from bringing in the nations fastest brickies to block up our goal for both halves his only hope of victory is to deny our rottweilers meat for a week or two beforehand and have them unleashed in front of our most uncompromising back four.

Around that we need fit, fast, combative support plus MDV and Humey up front trying to steal the game by picking a pocket or two when the opposition isn't looking properly.

And why not have Chambers as a sub?. If there's one guy can conjure something out of absolutely nothing and then take the chance when it's offered it is him.

Of course, we can win. Bolton are honest, focused, hardworking and capable. But they are not Chelsea, Man Utd or Arsenal. They don't have any magicians amongst their ranks.

But though I fancy us to play well, it certainly won't be pretty. It will be an excercise in the practiced art of stopping our opponents playing. "Wolves with attitude" might sum it up.

Bet it's cold and wet too. The fact that so many Lancastrians have red hair has nothing to do with their ancestry. Anyone left out in that place for long soon starts to go rusty. So take your hats.

Oh well, not an easy tie.

We have struggles this season against teams playing 4-5-1. I just hope we push the fullbacks up and fight for everything. Bolton are a very effective side, fighting and bullying. Having said that, I'm sure we can wipe big fat Allardyce's smile off his face if we work hard and fight.

Pretty dull tie. Not big enough to see as a glamour clash, not small enough to think we've got a good chance. Plus no big crowd so no benefit of money from the gates.
