foxfanazer Posted 10 November 2019 Posted 10 November 2019 As a 30 year old Leicester fan I don't ever recall seeing us have such a strong goal difference, certainly not this early on in the season. Yes the 9-0 thrashing of Southampton distorts the bigger picture somewhat but then again 8 goals conceded in 12 games with the fixture list we've had is insane. Our goal difference could have a massive impact on our top 4 credentials come the end of the season so long may it continue.
whoareyaaa Posted 10 November 2019 Posted 10 November 2019 we have so many goals in the side im sure we will put a few more 4/5-0 wins in as well, the defence with Nididi covering is as good as its ever been. I've never known Kasper to have so little to do since we have been back in the Prem. as we know GD is another point at the end of the season.

I think quite a few people like myself thought that we'd be 'OK' by not replacing Maguire in the summer, that giving Soyuncu and Evans a chance would be better than blowing all that money on someone new. I doubt anyone expected us to have the best defence in ****ing league and second best goal difference, better than LIVERPOOL, after a third of a season. You're right that the Southampton game distorted this somewhat, but arguably, as we could should have had a penalty against Arsenal and Ndidi hit the bar, those extra goals could have come in other games over a season. Don't quote me on that. GD will be crucial moving forward and I hope it keeps growing...
Sir Shep Posted 10 November 2019 Posted 10 November 2019 It was +34 when we won the league so it’ll be nice to smash that.

We won the league after averaging 2.13 pts per game. We're now averaging 2.16 pts per game It's feasible we could beat the points scored that the title winning team got and still be 10 pts+ short of the title winners. Still, onwards and upwards.

Yes but look at the money spent by man city and liverpool since then. This side as a football side is much better to watch yet due to the money taken in by the sales of kante, drinky, mahrez and harry out next spend recently is minimal Man city have spent massive money and liverpool, brought a keeper, centre half, Salah, mane etc for huge outlay. If we finish 3rd this season it would be up there as an achievement.

Oh definitely, but watching today’s game I’m thinking it’s luck more than GD that we need! But seriously to finish top 4 would be fantastic and to be disappointed in not winning the league again just goes to show how brilliant things are at Leicester.

Don't get me wrong, I have little to zero ambitions of winning the title. I'm still looking behind us rather in front of us. If we could finish top four it's better than winning a cup IMO. Both would be nice though.

Hey mate I’m with you, I think we just need VARpool to slip up which I don’t think will happen sadly!

They've dropped 2 pts in 12 games, how do you compete with that? Man City and Liverpool are arguably the best two teams in Europe at the moment. Top four though and with the likes of Madrid, Munich and Barca not being the teams they were it wouldn't be that implausible we could win the Champions League. I'll stop now from getting too far ahead of ourselves.
Grey Fox Posted 10 November 2019 Posted 10 November 2019 If this ends 4-0 to Liverpool, we'll have 1 better GD than both of them.
Nicolo Barella Posted 10 November 2019 Posted 10 November 2019 We'd be level with them if not for Bernardo

I would actually prefer to win the FA Cup than come Top 4. Completes our collection and we still get European football (even if it's "only" Europa League). I would definitely take Top 4 over a league cup win though. Ideally we'll do the treble...
