Interestingly enough I've always thought if one of these rich money men was to buy say Hearts or Hibs or Aberdeen they could really challenge Celtic/Rangers and make a big difference with the whole competitive nature of Scottish football

It's been tried and all it did was put clubs at risk.

The clubs are more cautious nowadays and prefer the player trading model of buying cheap and selling high. It doesn't really bode well for a sustained title challenge or a settled squad.

As soon as any club gets close the old firm close ranks and either buy or unsettle your important players.

The rubbish TV deal for the SPL doesnt guarentee a provincial club decent money to fall back on if they decided to go for it and spend heavily to challenge.

Even if they were successful in doing it... there still isn't any money in it so it's not sustainable.

The only way to make money in Scottish football is commercially and no team outside the OF have the fanbase for it

The only way it could be done is if a major celeb bought a club and used their status to bring revenue via sponsorships and an increased global audience like what we are seeing at Wrexham.

Aberdeen..

😁 making hay while the sun shines.

English clubs need to take a look at Lennon Miller. By far the best young player in the SPL.

Yeah, they must be bricking it that it might be another Fergie era about to happen.......😀

There's a feel good factor around the city that's not been there for years.

4,000 fans in Dundee today and could have sold more.

Its all about putting some points between us and the candidates for 3rd and European adventures next year.

Yeah a fair few seem to be pointing to Aberdeen's favourable start but if they're still beating sides in the rung below Celtic and Rangers then that's still...good? They're clearly the best of the rest (so far), no other "traditional" / expected top 6 sides pulling up any trees, quite the opposite. Fair play to them imo, hope they bloody some Old Firm noses in the next few weeks too

Barry Robson seemed a bit sore and sour about Aberdeen doing well this season !

Basically said it’s because they aren’t in Europe so got more time to train .

Keep it up, please, Ross County..

Rodgers and Schmeichel comes across at times as if they don't deserve losing in games/ having losses, and it doesn't look good on them in games at times.

I guffawed when the local news confirmed that Critchley has a contract to 2027.

Good luck to him, but I would be surprised if he's still at the helm at the start of the 2025/2026 season.

That's a shame for ICT FC.

An amount of money that the big clubs in England would consider small change would have saved them.

Hope they can rise again.

Listened to a fan on Sportsound a few weeks ago where he attended a meeting with the owners and fans.

The favourable option was to go into admin, take the points deduction and start again in league 2 if needs be.

They need to go back to their old model of hoovering up Highland League players and finding a local identity.
