Nobody seems to know how to pace it. It's a long game. We'd not have batted 50, yet again, without Root here. Paced it perfectly at a run a ball. The other 26 would have been found with a few more wickets in hand.

 

Salt, Smith, Overton. Even Archer. Stupid wickets, again.

Sam Hain is literally the perfect candidate to bat an innings, it's genuinely baffling, up there with Hildreth never getting a look in
