Interesting decision to bowl first.

 

Perhaps thinking chasing down a modest target in a few overs would be more likely to boost the run rate than scoring 350+ and not being sure they could bowl Afghanistan out in the 50 overs?

I like him but seems Chris Woakes was the problem.

 

Everyone else has done pretty well - particularly the spinners and of course Afagan’s in form batsman was run out by his own captain .

Woakes has always travelled poorly. I'm not sure what convinced the selectors it would be otherwise here.
