That's the biggest upset in world cup history.  Afghanistan have won just one other game in the world cup, against Scotland.  They've just beaten the holders.

It's going to take some turnaround for England to progress after such a devastating blow.

They mentioned Kenya vs West Indies in 1996 (?) just before today's result was confirmed. That's surely bigger?

Ireland in 2011 is probably bigger for me, this Afghanistan side is class really

Afghanistan are a good side in conditions they know well and England played poorly. The former deserve plenty of credit but it's hard to say it's that much of an upset.

Aye probably right.

That said personally don't think Afghanistan are half as good as people are making out. Very prone to collapses as well. That's a shocker of a result for me.  Guess we'll see depending on how they progress and conditions do favour them.

Yeah it's still a shock no doubt in terms of teams you'd expect England to be beating.

Their total was below par on that wicket and we didn't really get close.

Hope to be proven wrong but I'm not convinced by this England side.  Everything about today felt tentative, I always thought Morgan had a clear philosophy that everyone bought into.

I didn't think the prep leading up to the world cup was great either.

We shall see!

This'll be a big one today if it happens

South Africa are going to blow all their hard work and lose to the Netherlands, the absolute nutters.

This is classic SA.

They seem to do this all the time in a big tournament. Batter a bigger side, and crumble against a 'weaker' side.
