I knew he'd done one of these podcasts but I hadn't realised they were free to listen/watch on Youtube.

Is it actually interesting and does Kasper talk about his success in football or is it a load of uppity nonsense from people with a clear gift who say things like "you've got to align your goals with your dreams and shoot for the stars man".

I think its interesting

he is driven you can see it in every second of his interview, their is nothing wrong with inherting that gene from your dad. He is different though his own man, and his legacy is his own at leicester.

May interest some people -Should interest All people. Rarely have I seen such an intelligent and inspiring interview. Honest, no cliches, Intelligent, humble. So glad Kasper won the premiership. So he's a bloody footballer; to me he came across as a great man. I'm grateful he confirmed my impressions that LCFC was a great club with all the right attitudes. WE are special.. Great credit to the interviewers too.

I hope next time Kasper goes back to his old school it will be when he wins his second PL with LCFC of course. I did n't like his Dad as much, after all he played for Man U. I think we assumed he was German, all those years ago ,we did n't think much about the Danes as footballers and how we laughed when he drew back his arm to throw out and threw it into his own goal.We knew he was a great goalie though despite that.

Well we were just jerks but seeing this interview he obviouly made a great job of bringing up his son.

Glad you like LCFC Kasper, we were and are lucky to have got you. I've always thought you were a big contributor to 2015/6 both on and off the pitch. Glad I was so perceptive.

Being a sentimental fool. I'd love you to win those other four PLs, or more, even if its eventually as LCFC's manager. You seem to have most of the qualities for that to me, hopefully all of them. Maybe hopefully you'll turn out to be our second great manager. We've been waiting a long while ,maybe they're like buses.

Best of luck

If it seems like a lot of management psychology and self-improvement … for sure, it is.  But NO FOXES FAN SHOULD MISS listening to his insights about what makes LCFC unique (from about 33:58); and about distribution and playing from the back in the modern game (51:10).

So many fans feel they know what is going on in the players’ heads :glare: …  Well, Kasper really did allow these guys to get deep into his head, and he shares a lot, in a very articulate way.

I gained a deeper respect for Kasper from watching this.  I personally wouldn’t have missed a second.

It's a great interview. Superb insight in to his mentality, drive, passion and just downright hunger to win.

Still don't get this concept (in another thread) where he is criticised for having a tough upbringing. I think he explains perfectly well and it's just a snippet of a very insightful interview with the context misconstrued.

He's just a fantastic professional, in my opinion.

I loved this bit.

Tugged at the heartstrings a bit!

Good comments about Albrighton at 38:35 as well.

Excellent interview as it explores so many different elements of his career, from the inevitable comparisons with his dad, dropping down from Manchester City to Notts County, the importance of characters like Maddison/Mahrez - essentially the mavericks in the team - to go with your Albrightons and Simpsons, and how Khun Vichai instilled such a positive feeling through the club from top to bottom.

I saw the comments in another thread about him referring to a "tough" upbringing too. They're utter nonsense. He refers plenty of times to his privileged upbringing and how he's never wanted for anything. In fact one of the questions was about how he motivated and pushed himself despite having "silk pyjamas" as it were.

Largely because it is no way shape or form tough by what he described. He's immensely privileged and its a credit to him that he's so driven, but he's been surrounded by the best coaches all his life. Having a dad who won a few trophies isn't hard.
