As bodies come back we need to make use of the squad. I think we all know what our best 11 is, that leaves:

That’s forgetting Wes (x 2), praet & JJ. I have faith in all of them to come in and do a job. Going to need to share the workload to prevent burnout

All part of the plan to shaft little old Leicester City.  Seriously, with a fully fit squad I think we could mange this.  If we want to grow, this will be the new norm.

With the likes of Knight and KDH doing well on loan, could they be needed for our first team in games like Burnley?

 

I suppose we have Campbell and the others who have made the bench in recent games - Leshabela, Tavares etc... I think these lads will feature this season. The fixture pile up is just mad, and I get the sense Brendan wants to go deep in all competitions this season.

Just no consideration at all. 

It's the same for other clubs and everyone knew this at the start of the season. The further you go in competitions, the more games you play, add to that Covid disruption which we have been lucky with. Of course we could have played the U23s in Europe and FA Cup so we get knocked out early.

Exactly this. If we go all the way in FA Cup and EL there will be no free week and we will play 3 games in a week. Rather have a bit more freedom at the end of the season to have a good run in.

Man City have got to cram in just as many games but due to being in the CL, they have 2 less knockout games than us (if we made it to the same stage). So it's not us being shafted, it's a result of us doing so well this season and being in three competitions. Good job we didn't succeed in the League Cup as well
