What is the best way to refer to Ricardo Perreira?  Ricardo or Perreira?

I am hoping that this is a thread of a few knowledgeable responses.

From the assertions of a Turkish friend, I post about Caglar and Cenghis.

I post about Wilfred N'didi as  I believe he chooses not to be referred to as Onyinye N'didi, Wilfred being his middle name.

Getting names right, for me, is important.  I am not always confident.

if ormondroyd played in south america could he have 'sticks' on his shirt.

likewise Paul Dickov 'Pestihno'

I would like Barnes, with nuance, to be referred to as Barnes ( refer to James Rodriguez for a pronounciatition guide) Harvinho.

Big Wes. Little Wes.

That is all.

Crazy stat time: premier league team with two central defensive Wessex.  This is endearing and respectful.

Was a silly game as opposed to an interview... Let's have it right.

It was both.  For me, the issue is about correctly referring to individuals in an international squad.

Well for starters there's no apostrophe in Ndidi.

You've also misspelt Pereira.

While we're on the subject of getting names right, I'd like it if we learnt to spell Castagne and Fofana. Even the BBC have written 'Castange.'

Also, there is no apostrophe in Evans.

Thank you.

Should we refer to Ricardo or Pereira?

My spelling is normally above adequate. It is  being exposed here.  However, autocorrect keeps trying  to put two rs in  Perejra.

I presume Ricardo, as Pereira appears to be a pretty common surname, in much the same way that people refer to Fernandes as Bruno.

Evans was an auto correct  thing

I asked elsewhere - how can a phone autocorrect to something that doesn't exist? Or do we all spend loads of time texting a friend whose first name is Evan?
