Didn't that get changed as no one was following the rule anymore?

Nope still in the laws if the game

An indirect free kick is awarded if a goalkeeper, inside their penalty area, commits any of the following offences: • controls the ball with the hand/arm for more than six seconds before releasing it

Linesman don’t see it, referees seem oblivious to it. I shout it out in J1, but fellow fans seem bemused and unaware of it. The last time I remember an illegal throw-in being pulled up was when Jon Moss, (2 seasons ago?)  did a theatrical Tiller Girl manoeuvre , back leg raised to the horizontal,  to bring the play back. It might seem unimportant, but the possession remains with the offending team, rather than being given to the other team. It could, conceivably , within a pass or two, lead to a goal being scored. Would VAR  check it and intervene? I wasn’t going to make an issue of it, but I always promised that if I had a camera at the ready I would capture the moment. There were several examples of it at the Euros recently. This is the most outrageous. Enjoy!

Have you ever heard of Hector Bellerin?

Placing the ball on the outermost edge of the quadrant at corners. Surely no part of the ball should extend over the white line. I always feel that the taker of corners is trying to steal some sort of advantage or am l being pedantic?

Pedantic.

although it is aesthetically Unpleasant I quite enjoy how riled fans in the corner get when a ball *may* be slightly outside of the quadrant. Absolutely love it

Fair enough, maybe they just issued some guidance because no one really follows that rule.

Tackled player has always been able to stay on but never seem to be enforced.

The player can only come straight back into play if the foul was a yellow card offence. If not, the player goes off until they get called back on by the referee.

It’s in play if any of the ball is over the white line. Same as it is for a goal or on the touchline/byline.

Dont know if its already been mentioned nor if there is any sort of rule about it, but I can't un-notice it anymore when goalkeepers catch the easiest ball and then fall to the ground to waste time. Seeing it more and more, earlier and earlier and I can't ****ing stand it one bit. Pickford did something in the Euros where he caught it under no pressure, then with his hands in the air basically showed it to his left, then to his right and then fell to the ground. McCarthy was doing it from the 20th min in the Southampton match a few months ago

Delaying the taking of a free kick.

As soon as a free kick is awarded an opposition player stands on the spot and delays the restart of play.  I believe this is a yellow card in the rules but is instead ignored by officials.

Personally, I would like to see this taken further and make it that players have to withdraw ten metres immediately if their team has conceded a free kick.

I remember hearing that the shadow of the ball had to be on the corner arch. Could be BS but it would explain a lot.
