Linesman don’t see it, referees seem oblivious to it. I shout it out in J1, but fellow fans seem bemused and unaware of it. The last time I remember an illegal throw-in being pulled up was when Jon Moss, (2 seasons ago?)  did a theatrical Tiller Girl manoeuvre , back leg raised to the horizontal,  to bring the play back. It might seem unimportant, but the possession remains with the offending team, rather than being given to the other team. It could, conceivably , within a pass or two, lead to a goal being scored. Would VAR  check it and intervene? I wasn’t going to make an issue of it, but I always promised that if I had a camera at the ready I would capture the moment. There were several examples of it at the Euros recently. This is the most outrageous. Enjoy!

As long as both feet are on the floor when they release the ball it's fine. His leg is up but he doesn't have to stand there with feet planted after he's released it.

6 second rule for the ball in keepers hands never seems to be adhered to does it?

Also players having to go off the pitch for treatment if a opposition player has been booked? They used to be able to stay on the pitch didn't they

Didn't that get changed as no one was following the rule anymore?

I can agree on the foul throws never seems to get picked up, one that really stood out for me was when Harry Maquire was playing for us was so blatant I don’t know how he got away with it

That’s still a rule it just don’t get applied in the premier league by the refs

To be fair we don’t know if the foot was off the ground at the moment it left the hands but his front foot is over the line so it’s a foul throw for that reason

The most audacious, Lazy and cowardly Show of Basic Ignorance of the laws :-

Every Single corner, being played through, without  penalties or free-kicks...Players cheating with the refs/linesman corruptly  & delibrately, blatantly  ignore the hugging, pulling,  bungling, tugging and spreading of arms..

There should be at least 6-10 penalties in each match, plus free-kicks for obstruction...

Its ridiculously becomes a free-for-all, in the Penalty box....

Then ex-players & pundits say ' oh  its nothing'.....FFS Its fking cheating !!! ,accepting it doesn't make it right!!!

its wrong and has degraded the game...

The has others have mentioned...GK- 6 sec.rule,or leading with both feet, in 1 on 1 situations...Foul throw ins, Stealing Not 1 yard But fking 5-6 metres

There should be small lines along the touch-line,every 2 metres ,where The players are told Not to cross, they wonder across it...Then free-kick..for cheating..

I would Love to See Rugby refs, learn Football & Take over the games...

Now with VAR, no Need to Argue with ref,no immediate attempt to retire..The ref  takes Another 5 meters,if that means it then falls into the Penalty area, then

from that spot,Player can Take an Equivalent to a penalty....Its time the refs, with authorities took back the game, from the smarmy Del-boys, & hoodlum,

cheating managers & players, and Stop the Smart-alec,coniving  tactics..

Hockey/Rugby refs mentality, would cut out the crap & wouldnt fear the right descision...

Again that depends on when the ball left his hands. The image tells us very little tbh.

Can't remember the game or the opponent but one of the most ridiculous things I saw in recent memory was when we conceded a throw in, with the ball going out via hitting the corner flag. They ended up taking the throw meters and meters away from the flag!

Likewise with throws that go out in one half and then are taken 2-3 metres in the other. It's mind boggling.

Giving someone a kick in doesn’t seem very fair.. unless it’s Fernandes lol

Back in the day you used to get a yellow card for diving

Yep, now you get called clever for jumping into the air following minimal contact. We've collectively bred a game of cheating.

You get a lot of these rules where they introduce something, enforce it a couple of times and then just give up. Remember the two game ban for diving? That lasted a mammoth three months or so.

Didn't they used to have a maximum amount of steps a keeper could take with the ball in his hands rule?

There was a Middlesbrough player a few seasons ago that got pulled up for a foul throw about 3 or 4 times in a game. Quite funny at the time because it never used to be penalised then someone carries on doing it more than once lol

The other one that doesn't get penalised (if it's even a rule) is players surrounding the referee. When it first came in to be punished it was adhered to. Then over time teams just seemed to resort back to type and referees just took it on the chin.

Another rule that no longer applies (or perhaps never did) was keepers fouling players in aerial challenges. *cough* Ederson *cough*. Gets away with it far too easily yet if you lay a finger on a keeper referees are so quick to blow.

I don't even know the rules for injury treatments on the pitch now.

I think in the Euros when Grealish got tackled, both players received treatment yet only one was ordered to go off the pitch. Didn't know the rule had changed to allow the tackled player to stay on regardless.

I remember that when I started playing and it changed early 2000s I think. 4 step rule.

Tackled player has always been able to stay on but never seem to be enforced.

90% of all short throws are foul throws now. Players release the ball from out in front of themselves. Throwing the ball is a skill and now it just makes it so easy to retain position as you can basically just drop the ball on somebody's foot rather than actually throwing it properly.

Not saying you're ignoring that btw, just a pet hate of mine.

...have you watched us at throw ins, we are so poor!!!

A throw in to us becomes a 60/40 advantage to the opposition as we supply the ball to: chest height, knee height and head height, rarely to feet.

And they're still foul throws which shows how s*** we are at them.
