Hey maybe you remember how a few years ago a girl from Russia was looking for tickets for the last match of the 18/19 season right here and found it. It was me and it was incredible!
So, today I want to ask - maybe anyone ready for a mini-interview for the Russian fan community? Just your comments, what do you think about the Russian team that fell to the foxes in draw, about Moscow, your expectations, and etc.

You'll get good answers to your questions, for sure; but, first and foremost, am sorry you've got Putin in charge of your country..

Best train journey I ever took was the overnight Moscow to St Petersburg, basically vodka fest all the way.

I was obsessed by the cold war as a kid so i was happy to fulfill my ambition of standing in Red Square.

First Champions league game I ever attended was a Locomotive Moscow vs Inter. Brand new stadium at the time, just recall loads of police/soldiers lining the route to the ground.

All depends when we visit Moscow, December will be freezing, hopefully we’ll be up for it.

And I can just about remember the words to Kalinka!

By the way, good news, in the last few years, December is a pretty warm month, and the coldest months here are from January to March! So, you are all will be up for it, I hope : )

Will your pitch be frozen when we come to play there ? Would it be a risk playing players like Justin when he is coming back from injury ?

Nope, I guess : )

but Spartak players can be a little rude

I'll have a go at answering some of these questions from my perspective.

- what do you know and what do you think about Russia and Russian football

Russia itself as a country in my view growing up was always kind of perceived as a cold, huge country that seemed a million miles away and somewhere that couldn't be accessed easily. I grew up after the Cold War as well. My views of the country were changed dramatically by the World Cup in 2018 when I drove with some mates from my home in Newcastle at the time all the way to Moscow taking in a lot of the lesser seen parts of the country. I found it to be an inviting, interesting and wonderful place. I love my history so standing in red square, seeing Lenin going round the Kremlin were some of the highlights of my trip and some of the most incredible things I've done anywhere in the world.

In terms of Russian football my knowledge tends to be fairly limited. I see the Russian national team play every couple of years at major tournaments and I get the impression it's quite a physical game over there, not to different from how the game is played in the UK. Russian football has really fallen off my radar in recent years and I get the perception that the quality has gone down since the days where teams like Zenit had Hulk and Danny or Anzhi were spending big money. I do think however the Russian league is better than some realise.

- how will you prepare for your travel to Russia

If I was to travel I know the visa process would be hard if there isn't a visa waiver system put in place. That would be the biggest part of the preparation. Apart from that I don't feel like much preparation is needed for a trip to Moscow itself. I would be more concerned with preparing myself with information on how to stay safe at the match itself.

- heard anything about Spartak Moscow before?

When I think of Spartak two things spring to mind firstly, and quite randomly Aiden McGeady (I spent too much time playing Fifa as a teenager). Secondly I have actually been to Spartak stadium during the World Cup so my main thoughts about Spartak come from that. I remember the stadium as being very modern, well organised and really quite pleasant. I remember there being statues on the touch line (which intrigued me) and I also remember it taking ages to reach the ground from central Moscow. Apart from this I must say my knowledge on Spartak isn't the best.

- your expectations about travel to Moscow

My expectations around Moscow are that I'd have a wonderful time. I spent 12 days there previously and I felt like that wasn't enough. It's a place that I intend to visit again just because I feel there was so much still to see. I have been to most of the major cities in Europe and Moscow is right up there. It's a world class city in all aspects for me. It's safe to say my expectations would be high.

- expectations about games

I would expect a tough game in Moscow. It's never easy on the squad travelling that distance for a game. Also the atmosphere in Moscow I would imagine may be quite intimidating for both the fans and players. However if I'm honest I would expect Leicester to have enough quality to win both games but I don't expect it to be easy.

Brilliant! Thank you so much!

I hope it will be amazing travel and game : )

My wife and I went to Moscow in 2012 (late March/early April). To say we were totally underprepared is an understatement.  We were living in Abu Dhabi at the time which is only a 4 hour flight. It was around 35 Celsius when we left Abu Dhabi and -14 when we arrived in Moscow. The first day we woke up to a foot of snow. I remember standing in the line that morning to get into the Kremlin in runners and a light jacket. After that we ended up buying all the right gear which made the holiday so much better but didn't stop me getting a cold which developed into a bad cough and a threat from a Russian guy to kill me if i didn't stop coughing whilst sharing an overnight cabin on the Moscow to St Petersburg train. Memories!!!:jawdrop:

My abiding memory of Moscow: 7 lanes of traffic going one way, 7 going the other way and, as a pedestrian, about 12 seconds to get across the lot! :S

I have some crazy memories of trying to drive my right hand drive car on the ring road there. Basically 7 lanes and very few rules. I'm sure there were rules but they weren't followed. People seemed to have a habit of turning off for a junction across several lanes of traffic. Not quite as crazy though as some of the motorways leading up to Moscow from Belarus. I think the speed limit is about 60 but no one was doing less that 100 but the crazy thing is there's no central reservation and you can turn left across the other carriageway. I have never been as close to death as when I was driving well over 100 in the outside lane and came over a hill to find a Lada completely stationary trying to turn left! I had to swerve round it in the end as I wouldn't have stopped in time lol

Edit - Zebra crossings, they are a thing on motorways too lol

Welcome back. Must confess that all I know about Spartak is that former Chelsea player Victor Moses plays for the club. Looking forward to learning more about the club.
