I think you're being annoying for the sake of it  It's easy if you put the right word in early. I'm gonna risk it as its 9pm and mention the word.

 

You could put instead of WATCH

 

CATCH

PATCH

LATCH

BATCH

HATCH

MATCH

 

There's also RATCH and NATCH as less common words you could have tried.

 

Its easy if you try Watch early, but it's not beyond the realms of possibility to try 3 or 4 of those instead and run out of guesses. If you get the ATCH lined up for guesses 4, obviously depends hugely on what you start with, that give you 3 guesses for 9 possibilities. Even if you say guessed Catch on guess three, that's still 3 more guess for 8 possible words.

 

So when you said "How?" to @potter3 I think it's pretty obvious how.
